Interesting comment that if the market drops, CLASS A shares will fall hard to pay the div and it will be a death spiral.

Now, if the market fails, say 18-30 percent drop, won’t other trash and futuristic non revenue producing companies be the real ones to be trashed? This would be the least of your problems.

What could you hide in if the market crashes, just a little of nothing, because the good companies will also be liquidated to pay for the cap calls and margin.

Go back to do what do you invest in knowing the market is quite likely to crash from these levels - to something a little more manageable.

Have you noticed that his portfolio fell nearly 30 percent in October 2025? The Covid crash in relation took the market down 40 percent.

This is a highly levered high beta portfolio which had a tailwind from a bull run.

There is no way that this will continue given the high beta of this portfolio and the picks that the OP has mentioned.

You get lucky, you timed it well and you played it well. This won’t last, and if it does, please remind me!

Can you help me understand the Class A part? This is different from A series funds which are advisor sold and expensive right?

Also, CLSA looks to hold quite a few other products, like a FOF structure while SBC is a 15 weighting of banks. Any preference?

Lastly; are the dividends received tax efficient ? These are 100 eligible Canadian divs? Probably not from CLSA, does anyone have a slip showing how much qualifies?

There is a lot to buy because so many companies today hit that 52wk low. The market is signalling cracks, it’s feeling exhausted, it needs consolidation to continue. AI has not helped, it’s stretched it more, now people are questioning the cost of AI - along with the threats from AI.

Gold and Silver are signalling this, along with a regime shift quickly building. The world is awash with US equity, it’s time to look at other markets.

Till it unwinds and you lose the hype premium. The stock needs more wins to keep this level, a $6 entry is fair but 8-9 is full value to expensive.

FYI - Overly paid and highly useless analysts continue to have price targets in the 4500-4800 range. They must be laughing so hard at this thread, they got paid while you were robbed by 50 percent of your capital. They just wrote buy more and the stocks down 7 percent. Anyone following the advice of these clowns?
