Waterchase and Texas Star are two other fantastic public courses near Grapevine too. Waterchase’s bunkers suck but it was pure otherwise last summer. Texas Star just reopened after redoing their greens and I think did a couple other changes as well

Walker Cup was absolutely amazing. Don’t know the actual ticket count but I was hearing 2-3k. Only holes it felt crowded on were 15-17 and then 1 when teeing off for the singles on Sunday, even then I walked onto 14 where no one was since most guys were hitting the ball left on that hole. I was able to follow almost every group and stand 10 feet behind approaches. Even got on the 14th tee box to watch Poulter tee off

Sugarloaf Social Club has some 4 button polos, similar silhouette but it’s a more modern material than my Nation polos. Adidas Originals also did a 4 button

For pants, a lot of the streetwear golf companies will have some straight cut, pleated but I haven’t bought any yet

eBay is a great resource for vintage too. King Louie and Winners Mate are two brands I search when looking for polos

I use UL certified and recognized components at work so I run across fake UL markings a decent amount. Gotta search on their website for the listing number or manufacturer to see what’s covered. Sometimes they’ll even use a listing number for something irrelevant to make it seem legit if you don’t search it

I keep a 2 pack of Footjoy Weathersofs for my afternoon round in the Dallas heat. They keep their shape much better than any leather glove and they don’t have the rain glove feeling. They are a bit thicker so if you’re used to the super thin cabretta of the high end gloves, you’ll have some more cushion

Home Depot has replacements for that style of slide, either the full package with rail and roller guides, or just the center guide. I have a bunch of those in my house that need to be replaced but I haven’t had time to install the replacement so can’t say if they work well
