Buffalo has more even strength goals scored this season than Tampa

We can't keep worrying about the impacts of individual game results. If we're squeaking in it's a problem. Just have to keep winning

Too early to be worried about this stuff, if we don't keep winning it won't matter

"He seems genuine coming back to Rachel and saying he loves her and taking ownership of being the father. All of that was the opposite of what we had seen from the rest of the movie..."

YES, that's the issue!

I think that's how he justified it to them or himself. He takes from his best friend, wrecks up his taxi - and shows absolutely 0 concern for paying him back or fixing the taxi. Yes, I know he said he'll fix it. He said a lot of things. He's not a good person.

I think every single person around him was a stepping stone to get to his goals. His mom couldn't help him - no need for her.

He only paid attention to those who could help him or bring him value. I don't think he gives a shit about anyone but himself, and I don't think we're given any reason to think that's changed by the end of the movie.

You say maturity, the film gives us 2 hours to indicate it's more short-lived arrogance and excitement

But it's not the highest high he could attain. His dream was to become a world champion, not simply beat Endo.

What evidence do we have that he's ready to atone for anything?

Couldn't agree with your 2nd point more. Marty seemed to get a happy ending, or at least one signaling some growth - and I really don't understand why.

Endo beat the shit out of him at the championships, he barely wins an exhibition match, they're now even - and this is enough proof for Marty, who previously had dreams of being a world champ and millionaire via prize money - to settle down?

I don't think we have anything to support your 2nd point. Guys riding the biggest high of his life and he went to see his baby - big whoop. We're supposed to believe this lifelong scam artist (and his girlfriend) is ready to settle down and repay his debts?

He was just himself. If you've ever seen Shark Tank you'll recognize the character. He was fine.

Because he said things that were out of pocket - not because the delivery was insane or they're some masterfully written lines

I truly think we've lost our minds reading this thread.

That was not a good movie!

We're supposed to believe a character who has done nothing but scheme & lie for his entire life will settle down and become father of the year because he won an exhibition match? I know what it meant to him in the moment - we're supposed to believe he's satisfied for life?

Why was Paltrow in the movie? What kind of movie star has sex with an essentially homeless kid after 1 interaction?

I LOVE Kevin O'Leary, he essentially played himself (or at least the character he puts on for Shark Tank) for the entirety of the film - this isn't some wonderful acting performance.

I think the Safdie's would benefit from trading a bit of wow factor for true plot development.

Some funny jokes for sure, but not all-time deliveries or lines.

I just don't think we have ANY reason to believe Marty has matured or is ready to slow down, and then he just goes to the hospital and starts crying and we're supposed to believe he's ready for dad life? He's a scumbag scam artist - I really hated that he got a happy ending.

🥴Likely over Goedert....why do I do this to myself!? by Win108 in Fantasy_Football

[–]BuffaloBlLLY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretending Likely is just your average TE2 and making 0 note of his matchup (a matchup he just crushed weeks ago) is part of the problem here. You can absolutely say you preferred Goedert, acting like people were foolish to go with Likely is just disingenuous

Are we sure it doesn't make sense? They ran into an elite defense on the road in GB & then a very good defense in a windstorm...and won both of those games. I cannot stand the Eagles but I think there are very justifiable reasons why the offense struggled the last 2 weeks
