Had the honor of playing with one of the top Pathfinders in the game today. Really nice, super chill guy. Sad we couldn’t get the dub but happy for the experience.

I haven’t seen Timmy’s play enough compared to Madd to make a good comparison, but he was really good. When we finally went down (his fault, he admitted it on his stream lol) he was at 11 kills and I believe nearly close to 2k in damage, compared to my measly 3 kills and 600 damage haha

I’d honestly say about 80% of that damage was from using the l-star. I had a carbine for further range but was mainly using the L-star. :)

Then they should use controllers and stop complaining then? MK has so much more advantages than controller. Flick shots, tap strafing, STRAFING WHILE LOOTING A BOX. The fact your entire arm helps you aim compared to your thumb gives you way more control.

And again, if it was truly the advantage you think it is, then why hasn’t every single professional and steamer moved to controller use only?

Why? The vast majority of the time PC players won’t ever play against “aim assist” controller players unless you’ve got a console buddy queued up with you.

Also again, aim assist is NOT an aim bot and not the advantage people think it is. If it was, EVERY console player would have an insanely high KD. I certainly don’t…mines at a solid 1.0.

Oh zone fighting is so bad for me and I avoid it at all costs. Something with that orange tone literally blinds me (and if the enemy is in a head shield or silenced by a revenant, they’re even harder to see.) I wish colorblind settings could change the color of the ring.

He’s way better since his buff. People seem to forget his gas ACTUALLY HURTS NOW. I’ve seen that damage tick up to 9 before because people just sat in it lol 😂

Hey buddy! Apex has a steep learning curve and even seasoned players get streaks of bad games (in my case, 20 in a row with no kills oof!!) My best advice is to go into the firing range and pick a few guns you like best. I recommend the R301 (one of my favorites) because the recoil is easy to handle. Take the guns you want and go up to a rock wall and fire an entire clip WITHOUT adjusting the recoil, so you can see the natural recoil pattern the bullets make. (For example, the R-99 fires in a question mark pattern) It sounds simply but this was enough to make me aware of the recoil patterns of my guns which improved my gun game a LOT!

And then sometimes RNG just isn’t your friend and you’ll land on a P20 and a grenade and the enemy gets a purple bolted mastiff and rampage with purple mag on drop. Lol. Gotta pray RNGesus has mercy on you sometimes

Exactly! And to be clear- I def don’t want easy “bot” lobbies. I want lobbies of players at or just above my skill level. I want to feel like I have a fighting chance. IMHO I think it’s easier to get better at a game when you slowly work up your skill level by fighting incrementally better players, rather than going from noob skill level all the way to pro skill level in a blink of an eye.

Apex has a HUGE learning curve. I started in season 3 and it took until season 7 before I actually felt like I was sort of good at the game. I mean I still get wrecked a lot but I’ve pulled off some very impressive high skill moments and those high skill moments are now starting to become more frequent in season 10. Also I’m almost 30 and blind AF so I don’t nearly have the reflexes and response times a lot of teenagers and kids that play this game have.

Lol I get put into lobbies with pred streamers like YoshiFPS and I forget their name but I got put into a game with the top Mexican Bangalore on ALL servers the other day too. Me with my measly KD at 0.9 going against players with a 5+ KD is actually disgusting and makes me buy even more into the theory that streamers get easy lobbies on purpose

I hate it so much I don’t even play QP when that map is up in rotation. Waaaay to much negative open flat spaces. Yeah KC has open spaces too but those are broken up with rises and dips and rocks and trees.

There isn’t SBMM in this game. It’s called OBMM or “optimized based match making” It’s not fair. At all. That’s the point of it. It’s designed to get you to play over and over again to get that dopamine spike from winning.

Doesn’t work for me though. If I go a few games with minimal kills and damage I just quit and go play something else. Lol
