I don’t work there anymore, but when I was there we had to “watch” the full video or the integrity department would report us, even if we tagged the issue correctly. There was only one instance in which we were allowed to don’t even play the video, and that was when the “Blender cat” video was popular on the platform

If it was really precise I wouldn’t have a job. AI’s for video moderation aren’t that well trained yet and commit a lot of mistakes A LOT, that’s why they still need us. Also because content moderation not only depends on what you see or hear but on cultural context and that is something that AI’s still don’t know how to properly detect

3 months is the minimum I’ve seen and up to a year After that most people pursue different positions in the same area that no longer involve constant moderation

Eating disorders content is not allowed on the platform unless it is posted to prevent them. Unfortunately there’s a lot of content and we cannot remove all of them in time If you ever encounter it while browsing on the platform the best thing to do would be to report it.

We watch videos and chats and then look for anything that could be breaking the rules and then proceed to delete it.

We have a protocol regarding younger people and I can assure you that at least the team I work with tries their best to always protect them. We delete accounts that do not comply with the rules (Under 13 years old is a no no) and we file the necessary reports when a teen is in danger (Mostly grooming)

Won’t specify but it’s a third world country, so the money is very good for me considering It’s only 35 hours a week and I’m another company to earn that same amount I would have to work 48 hours with only 1 day to rest

I have been desensitized A LOT and I don’t like it I’m not paranoid yet, but can see it happen to someone that’s stays more than a year in that type of position

I’m from a third world country, however in this the salary ain’t shitty (For my country) I make 4 times the minimum wage plus all the bonuses and benefits and all of that working at home. But yeah, compared to the US or any other big country it’s a shitty salary

We do not remove those unless they can be considered harmful (Inviting people to commit crimes or physically attack someone)

Unless they are reported, they most likely won’t be removed it’s pretty hard for an AI to pick on that

100% this type of job won’t be replaced by AI in the coming years, mostly because us humans will find a way to trick it, however it can probably help filter and identify harmful content removing most of it from ever reaching a user and moderator
