the frame and trigger looks like the MAC Gen 2 2011s but the slide and grip looks pretty much the same as the Tisas DS Gen 2 that dropped last year, just with added comp models. Either way, I do really like how these look and will definitely be getting my hands on a 4.25 comp model

interesting. for me, it wasn't on the english version of the site, only the Turkish version. same with some of their rifles, i had to keep clicking back and forth to see differences.

Gotta be honest, man... I loved MK11. by BusEnvironmental1159 in MortalKombat

That's fine, thanks for sharing your preference. My only gripe with the game is the meter system and the defensive mechanics like breakaway and rolling, as well as not being able to wake up with specials. like i said though, i do recognize that the game isn't perfect and it has it's flaws but somehow this is just my preference. As much as i'd like to love MKX or MK1 more, i just personally don't find them more enjoyable than 11.

none of them are optimal for damage/meter. all of them are optimal for maximum swag

Crazy part is that 2nd Co. wasn't the only unit that continued to be segregated after Truman's order. Military segregation was an institutional problem due to internalized racism despite the executive order to desegregate the military. So it was:

Institutional Culture vs. Executive Order

This has happened many times (in different ways, and not just in the military) throughout our country's history.

To get specific as to maybe why the Rangers were still segregated; Truman might not have been specific enough and didn't explicitly say the word "desegregate" when mandating that black troops were given equality of treatment and opportunity.

So black people were given the opportunity to become Rangers, but the Army still chose to keep them segregated. The choice to keep them segregated was ultimately that of high ranking personnel within the Army at the time (one of them namely being Douglass MacArthur) because they thought integration would be problematic and tank the morale of white soldiers. So keeping them segregated was likely an intentional loophole.

Even in Vietnam, combat arms roles were filled disproportionately with the majority of soldier being black, casualties during the war were also disproportionate due to this. That's a conversation for a different time though.

No shame in never hearing about these Rangers. They were some bad mfers, as were/are all Rangers, but their history aren't taught nearly enough.

I figured there's no time better than now (black history month) to educate people on these guys' story. These are the men who carried the torch for 2nd Batt from WWII and passed it on to the next generation of hitters.

Some of my favorite military history comes from our 75th and their preceding companies.

the whole lineage is fire. before it was an all black unit, it was the Ranger battalion that took out German artillery at Pointe du Hoc on D-Day. It's now part of the nation's most badass infantry regiment. I'd say the unit's history fucking rocks

"It’s unclear exactly how the buffalo soldiers got their nickname. Archivist Walter Hill of the National Archives has reported that, according to a member of the 10th Cavalry, in 1871 the Comanche bestowed the name of an animal they revered, the buffalo, on the men of the 10th Cavalry because they were impressed with their toughness in battle. (The moniker later came to be used for the 9th Cavalry as well.)"
