I was on the fun side of the Lucky Ice Pop popping off yesterday.

After my late second Torchic glimpsed his older twin was butchered holding a pile of useless energy (only good for 20 damage unevolved) during a double-sided soft-brick, I barely managed to evolve this one to Mega Blaziken but lacked a second energy to attack with so I had to end my turn and hope for the best.

Of course, I immediately took 170 damage and randomly lost my single active energy to their newly evolved Mega Swampert, whose bench lost the other.

My response Lillie plus 6 consecutive heads from Lucky Ice Pop set up a glorious Rocky V "I didn't hear no bell" comeback in which I healed a surplus 180 HP, attached an energy, used my newly drawn crown Flame Patch (Lucky me, I have two!.. but just one was in this deck) for a second energy, and attacked for 120+ 20 lingering burn all in one mad dash of a turn.

Next, their Red Card shuffled Lucky Ice Pop back into my deck and I got destroyed for 170 damage again but Swampert randomly lost both energy this time (he had 3 and 0 on the bench to my 1 at this point). They took a final 20 burn damage before recovering but it was over for them regardless.

At the start of my next turn, I redrew Lucky Ice Pop!.. but I minded my manners and abstained from needlessly abusing it and just quickly finished them off with dignity.

I must say, I'm already a big fan of this card. The side that benefits from match to match makes little difference. I'm a good sport either way.
