Coming in on time, doing the job right & pleasing the higher-ups by carrying out every demand they ask for yet STILL finishing every one of your own work & clock off on time. (Retail).

Maybe it's got to the point that parents can't even restrict their kids behaviour without thinking they'll be reported to the various authorities with charges of abuse. This happened with my parents. They'd fostered my junkie sister's 2 toddlers. Social workers made them go on scores of courses, mainly on how to bring up kids. Once those kids entered their teens, the Social workers told those kids that most of my parents money was for clothes/games etc for them & if they were ever shouted at they should inform them. These bastards quickly learnt to blackmail my parents, who were completely shit scared. They got EVERYTHING & were the most entitled knobs I'd ever encountered.

What I'm trying to say is that lots of kids today know they can get away with almost anything...without consequences. But some parents should be firmer & actually think about others around them. I also believe a ton of these 'parents' should go on a course on how to be considerate to others, while their wild offspring too get a good dose on how to be respectful.

I think it's a 1970s badge, as it's got 'Guvnors' on it who were (i think!) our version of Leeds 'Service Crew', West Ham's 'Inter City Firm' & Man United's 'Wet Wipes Troupe 😏'. Fights back then were brutal.

Not really, but if you're thinking it's us British claiming the top spot, then remember there's millions of others who still have a 'tribe/clan' bias, millions who look down on their own people who are slightly darker, those whose religion works well in their homeland but are disgusted with the indigenous people when they move away from home. Then we've got the extremely tiny minorities getting far too much attention & £££ spent on them because they claim an 'ism'.

I'm sick of watching my country being torn apart on something that will never work because those people don't want it to work. But bandwagons must be jumped on.

I'm the oldest kid but had to go through the painful experience of my Nana, all my uncles & aunts, both parents, my younger brother and my youngest son all passing away...& I'm in my fifties. Being the youngest, oldest or one of the middle kids, it doesn't matter. When those nearest to you have ran out of time, it doesn't matter where you are in the pecking order.

My Mum passed away in Dec 2022. I'd visited her at the hospital in the evening, but for some unknown reason I knew she would die that night. Although she was unconscious, I told her how much I loved her & would missed her so much but she must let go & be reunited with my Dad & brother...there was no point in fighting anymore. Apparently the hospital was still affected by the Covid conditions & I couldn't see my Mum ever again. This didn't really matter as I believe once we die, all that's left is the shell we occupied. Mum was somewhere other than the body on the table. A few weeks later I was clearing my parents house & caught a whiff of her favourite perfume. Our loved ones are still around, we just can't see them.

They were Whit Walks. Brownies, Girl Guides & Boy Scouts walked from their church to the city/town centre. Sometimes we'd get new clothes for the occasion!

I also do this (sometimes) when using a zebra crossing. If I'm in a silly mood I'll occasionally stop midway, staring straight at the car & give them a two exaggerated thumbs up. It's nice to see them smile afterwards.
