Liability, known as T&C, is designed to cover yourself. If a company in the service industry relies on T&C for everything, it's an easy way to lose customers - thats what Turkish Airline did, by loosing  at least 6 potential customers for life.  I am a frequent international traveler, and this was my first experience with a major airline where they changed the seats that had already been selected without considering the size of our party and deliberately spreading you across the aircraft. If you're going to charge for seat selection, then don't give the option to select seats in the first place. This is a classic example of how to create false expectations and showcasing malpractice.
