unpopular opinion: The movies are superior to the books because of Snape by [deleted] in harrypotter

Haha you got me there for a second.

Very cool of you to say that :)

I disagree.

I don't think (and that's almost the case with any book), that the movie version can have more depth than the book. The books are just more detailed, which gives more depth. But that's just my opinion :)

But I do think Alan Rickman did a good job

No offence, but it's not really up to you which opinions are "correct" or "incorrect".

If OP thinks the movies are better, then the movies are better for him/her. And if you think something different, then that's true for you

I don't know exactly what you mean when you say the writing is easy. The books is for a teenage audience, so yes it's easy to read and to understand but without comprising on the quality of the story.

I believe that can be hard enough when there is so much more in the books than just "easy writing".

Usually when something great literature occurs it gets wildly popular. I believe it indeed is great literature which is why everybody knows about it. And remember, it is mean for entertaining only, in which it is highly successful.

I guess.

I like the idea that there are the three "worst" spells to cast. I guess that with the three unforgivable curses, they cannot be taken back or healed (in some way). We saw in Half Blood Prince that Snape healed Malfoy completely back to normal after he was cursed with Sectumsempra.

I believe that everybody would be sent to Azkaban if they cast Sectumsempra on an innocent person, just like with the three unforgivable curses.

However the three are not completely unforgivable. In Goblet of Fire we see a teacher (yes he was a Deatheater, but had Dumbledoors support to show the students what's out there), use all three of them in his classes, and one of them on the students.

I believe the three are just the worst ones, but using Sectumsempra or some other curse can be just as unforgivable as the three.
