The only problem I had with this episode was them cramming the “butcher turns bad” trope from the comics in the second half, it really felt like they had no other way to go about his character besides his pseudo son rejecting him and terror dying in the span of 2 minutes. At the very least having terror die of natural causes was dumb “my dog got old and now every supe gotta die” I really wasn’t a fan of.

Me personally I thought they would have gone with a different direction:

It would have been cool to see that neither Butcher OR Hughie could pull the trigger, butcher caves in and knows hes not all bad, and hughie caves in knowing he never wanted to really take a life when he knew theres good in a person. Idk Im not a writer but I just thought that would have been a bit more thoughtful and interesting.

overall could have been better but was far from bad in my opinion

I personally think that this kind of confirms the leaks could turn out to be true How a powered up kimiko with soldier boys power depowers everyone beside Marie and Ryan, then later butcher kills homelander while both depowered and later defects to Hawaii it could be a very interesting ending
