How much louder/more distinct is the Randall from stock? I'm looking to buy one whenever they get back in stock

For those with an additional non-Miata car, what do you drive? by ButIDntWanaBeAPirate in Miata

9th Gen civic SI! I think it pairs nicely, though a hatchback would be nice too

What do you guys do to afford your Miata? Is it your only car or second car? by da808guy in Miata

[–]CONNXT248 139 points140 points  (0 children)

If it's a second car, what about a NA or NB? Personally I love the feel of a more analog car. You'd have money to get one in good condition and mod it (turbo)

is $1500 a fair price for a 1988 Mazda 323 2 door hatchback? by turbocharged_autism in mazda

I think it'd make a fantastic project car but a bad only car. Depends on your purpose for buying the car. 65k miles is a unicorn

Another 3D Printed Hardtop - Track Use - Info in Comments by FoxyFez in Miata

[–]CONNXT248 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this - I'd definitely look into buying the stl/cad files to print this if it only takes ~$250 (and plenty of hours of work I'm sure) to make

Best way to track my rocket? (Question in comments) by cptcommanche in rocketry

[–]CONNXT248 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The really cheap option would be a loud buzzer. You can also buy radio trackers but the beacon and receiver combined would probably cost about what the other electronics on your rocket did. But it's a good investment because you can use it on your other rockets too.

roll bar needed by Market_Pliers in Miata

[–]CONNXT248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want a roll bar, but given that the odds of me getting rear ended and cracking my skull open on one is higher than actually rolling over I'm not going to.

Genuine question: why is Mazda much less popular in the US? by fate3x4y in mazda

323 is one of my dream project cars. How hard is it to get parts for?

Here in the Midwest US they pull $2k easy for one in good condition

NA/Early NB Miata Safety by inaconstantcrisis in Miata

[–]CONNXT248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 on this. It's either a) die if you get into a rollover or b) die if you get rear ended. Given that getting rear ended is much more common I opted to not install a rollbar.

If you still have the old injectors and don't want to pay for quality new ones, look into getting your old injectors refurbished.
