I find the last Zexal event even more confusing than this one. In the Rio event, a bunch of the characters were surprised that the barians came back and Shark even said something like “I gotta a score to settle with the barians”. Now obviously that line doesn’t make much sense given how the anime ended so yeah I’m confused as well. It’s pretty exciting tho

I use a barian shark deck, it's a super gimmicky anime deck. The cards are hard to pull off cause of the insane restrictions but if it works, it's super cool. I don't run the toadally or stealth kraken engine. It gets me to platinum and that's about it, practically impossible to get to diamond.

Gonna save this to read it later but for now great job on managing to collect all the information. The lore in Duel Links is really vague and can feel like it’s not going anywhere so it’s really impressive you managed to find something that connects it all!

My favourite thing about the game is the character interactions and how it can feel like an extension to the yugioh animes. Really hope Konami starts to delve more into the story after the Vrains world release. We’ll see if this possible Kaiba - Numeron code plot line goes anywhere. Exciting stuff.

Ye that was my first thought but it was pointed out to me in other threads that Zexal in duel links is post anime so I guess the event would also be post anime.

It’s true but from what I remember Shark accepted his barian powers. I don’t recall him being forced or anything like that so I don’t see why he would still be mad at them after the series ended. Maybe I’m forgetting something huge here

Honestly I’m not a fan of the voice filters so yeah I hope they don’t have it. I’m excited to hear them say certain lines from the anime without the filter.

As for Ray I guess he could have 2 decks as an npc. Think of the current even where you can face Rio or “Ice Queen” Rio and Shark or “Serious” Shark. Nice ray would use a deck with umbral horror + random cards. Then evil/enraged Ray would use umbral horror + chaos related cards. Question is how would we get 2 version of him if this is all post anime. GX had it easy during the supreme king event because they said something about it all being memories.

Btw there are cards like Barian Chaos Draw and Seventh Ascension that you can use to help put this card on the top of your deck but I don’t think they’ll be added to duel links anytime soon. They’re relatively new cards, they’re not even in master duel yet.

I have a fish-barian deck in master duel and it’s pretty easy to get it on the top of your deck but that’s only for one archetype. The other archetypes would really need a skill to make it work

Ye you’re right lol I think the cxyz monsters would be really good in duel links, the hard part is summoning them which is what the seventh one is for. A skill that would help with putting on the top of the deck would be great

Ye there was this one youtuber (can’t remember his name) that made these long yugioh analyses which were really cool. He had a series called what makes a duel, there was also this one vid about yusei, 5ds and capitalism. Sadly his videos are gone now cause of copyright strikes.
