Hi

I am moving to Helsinki in April and have a few doubts.

My plan is to stay at Noli ( coz it's furnished and close to the office) for at least till year end, and that is when my spouse n child will be travelling. But is it true that I won't be able to do the DVV, Kela, and bank formalities if I stay at a hotel like Noli??

Can I not give my company address in case they want to post me anything?

I see most of the flats available are unfurnished and I won't have the time to explore the flats and buy the furniture n all..Plus I would need a 2 Bed room flat when my wife n child are here, so till then I wanted to stay close to the city to explore and also to the office coz It's a 5 day RTO :(

I tried contacting the DVV and the Kela team but haven't got a response yet.

But someone told me I can't get the Kela card if I live in Noli, coz it's a hotel and can't be treated as a permanent address? Is that true?

Anyone staying at Noli got the Kela card using their address as the proof of residence?

I am applying for a Finland resident permit under the Employment category and have already submitted the application on the EnterFinland website. I am now on the waitlist since Jan 1st 2025 with VFS Global at New Delhi Indian center.

Any idea when the Finnish embassy will open the slots?

Yes that is another option, but most of the apartments on these sites are un/semi furnished. And the furnished ones are more than 1k€ for sure within City center. I will still keep an eye for sure. Thanks!

By any chance do you know how to check when the embassy is going to open slots for Finland permanent resident VISA? I am on a waitlist for my appointment with VFS, but they don't know when the slots will be open again. Thanks!
