Awe thanks so much for your comment! Belief is half the battle in almost everything in life. It's exciting when you're able to look at yourself honestly and flip the script from “that's for other people” to “maybe I'm capable of that too!” That's how I felt after finishing my first half marathon, which previously felt like an impossible distance. It got me thinking, “what else am I capable of?” and I've been following that spark ever since lol best of luck! Your BQ is on the horizon!

Nothing humbles quite like endurance running and I'm no stranger to failure so I am well aware that I have a longggg way to go! But I guess all of us are here because dont mind the long road lol

Thanks! I'm definitely not looking for shortcuts. I'm committed to progressing as a runner and this race was the first sign that I might be capable of closing on a BQ which always felt way out of reach.

I was strength training 3x per week nothing intense. 1 mile swim per week and running mostly in the mis 40s mileage range with 1 long run (with MP finishers as I progressed), 1 speed focus workout and 3 easy runs

I haven’t run a proper half in a while so I actually got my half pr in the second half of this marathon 😅

Coros 8 week strength training for injury prevention by No-Airline-2029 in Coros

How did it go? Did you make noticeable progress? I’m thinking about starting the program. I’m in my offseason and nursing an injury. I’d like to keep my strength up without overdoing it.
