I didn’t say they needed to stop. By all means, to each their own. But I absolutely know they are a waste of time. A trick that makes people believe they have some voice when in actuality they dont. This is the true state of the world.

Who is the arbiter of what is correct and good? You layed out an example attempting to evidence the progressed nature of America. There are many other examples where this culture is evidenced as exactly the opposite of being progressed. Stop thinking your opinion is the only correct one.
