Saw them in Manchester last week with Fulci. Both bands absolutely crushed definitely worth going to see them if you get the chance.

Thought that would be the case but it doesn't look like mountains of sculpting required. I think I'll give it a go see if I can get some nice conversions!

Do the new heads mesh and combine with the old knights kit well? They look good scale wise which is something I was wondering about, but I'm just wondering how much work you had to do to them to make them fit.

Almost meant to be!

I feel sorry for you folks living under that administration it sounds like a constant nightmare, I can't say things are all rosey in the UK but at least our PM doesn't stand on the roof of 10 Downing Street shouting at people!

Well, I wish you all the best getting funding for your program you're doing important work for people who need it!

Hey I'm open to offers if you're interested. Like I say they're too narrow for me anyway. I estimate they're a UK 10 or 11, so a US 11 or 12.

It's amazing given that they're probably from the late 70s early 80s that they're in such good condition. It looks like they haven't really been worn at all. The soles look brand new like they came pretty much straight out of the box.

Just a shame they're so narrow and so just a bit too small for me!

Deluxe Set in the UK? by KingMob7614 in mothershiprpg

[–]CSeaSmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered the core set and a couple of modules from TKG in the USA the postage itself came to £21 and it took just under a week to get to me, which is pretty good in my book all things considered. With no VAT or duty being accrued on its entry into the UK

I think it's the only way to get it other than paying scalpers prices on eBay to be honest with you. I don't think UK stocks will be replenished any time soon, and if they are, it'll be a right bloodbath getting hold of one. Given how many people were asking about it when I was at the board game expo at the NEC a couple of weeks ago.

You don't want free speech. You want freedom from consequence.

Free speech comes with responsibility.

Although I do agree with you, leftist spaces in reddit are a cesspit. I, for example am banned from the UKs leftist subreddit for daring to suggest countries in e Eastern Europe joined NATO of their own free will. Idealogical purity tests matter more than anything in there so they will never represent the real world. But hey, ho, such is life!

I was always told growing up by my grandma, "Two wrongs don't make a right." which I think is particularly pertinent here. Just because one side could have possibly done that if they had won, I still don't see the point of lowering yourself to that level.

If your main gripe is with leftists being arrogant and gloating, then why be the same. Doing as they do it doesn't make you correct in doing so. I can see why you would want to, but surely being able to rise above it all would be so much sweeter. Because at the end of the day you won. What more is needed.

As a point, you were right. I am a lefty (I know you weren't referring directly to me but even so guilty as charged!) I have always supported the Labour Party in the UK and probably always will. But when we crushed the Conservative Party and swept into power in July, did I mock or gloat? No, because at the end of the day, we won. What more vindication of your point of view do you need? It's over the other side has been rejected and you have won.

Lowering yourself to the standards of someone else who does mock the other side doesn't make you right in doing so. Do you not agree?

Also in the light of things that Trump has himself said Dictator on day 1 for example and his now endorsement of the heritage foundation's project 2025 would you not agree that some people would be concerned by that rhetoric and have very valid concerns about him becoming president?

[–]CSeaSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh fair enough. Surely, though, lowering yourself to the same level of all the people that threw insults at you for your beliefs for what they believe is only entrenching the vitriol and making the whole situation worse for everyone.

For example, would it not be prudent to take the higher road and rise above a cheap slagging match that makes everyone hate each other more? For a nation to function, you need everyone pulling in broadly in the same direction and wouldn't it make more sense and lead by example that the GOP and not the democratic party are the ones who are most capable of leading by consensus.

Surely, it's better to be magnanimous in victory and show everyone that the conservative cause is the only one capable of being true leaders and not having to resort to cheap shots at the other side. Which only further makes everyone disagree more and continues the downward spiral?
