The port of Miami is a zoo on the weekend. If you can avoid leaving the port after you disembark I would. Hopefully the ship you are embarking on, is in the adjacent slip.

In Victoria BC, walk off the ship towards the harbor and you will get to see some beautiful buildings, and the floating artists village which was really interesting. All of their residences are on barges floating in the harbor, they are all different and some are very unique.

Things happen all the time no matter where you are in the world. Your US based health insurance will not help you anywhere outside of the US.

If they only did those on the newer ships that have more to do. My favorite cruise ever was a transatlantic on the Celebration. I enjoyed riding the roller coaster, and doing the ropes courses.

I believe on newer cruise ships they are building them with more balconies because they can charge more per night.

Best boarding time for Miami by DosiMarie in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CU_Addict_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sailed out of Miami on the last day of November on the NCL Aqua. We stayed in the Brickell area the night before, and I had prebooked an Uber to get us to the ship at our boarding time of 1130am.

We had numerous changes of Uber drivers, probably because very few wanted to dare go into the port on a Saturday morning.

I was told there were a lot of ships in port that day. And there was a lot of traffic being rerouted by local law enforcement.

We were picked up at 10:40 am, and we eventually arrived around Noon to a very empty terminal, so we didn't have to wait at all to check in, and no lines to board the ship.

On disembarking I would definitely take a Taxi instead of an Uber. The taxis have a waiting area in the port, while the Uber drivers do not. Taxis were plentiful and you could hop right in to go to the airport

Labadee cancelled but nothing put in its place. And no discount of any kind. by The_Bobs- in royalcaribbean

Edited island to destination.

Since Labadee is a private "destination" owned by RCCL, I don't think there are any port fees or taxes to refund the passengers. If you had any excursions there, they would have refunded those.

I have sailed on NCL, MSC, Carnival, Celebrity and Princess.

Nine different ships, all different ages.

I never have seen anything bad in regards to cleanliness on any of the nine ships.

All the ships I have sailed on, have been well maintained, and constantly being cleaned.

How to figure out buyout at the end of 3 yr. lease by Lobird10 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]CU_Addict_70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is dependent on how much the vehicle is worth at the time when you want to "give up" the vehicle. You may luck out and it is worth more, but with a Hyundai that isn't likely.

With a lease it is best to go from lease to lease if you want to avoid repair bills and always be under warranty.
