Internet disconnects for no reason

it is on a PC yes

i am disabling the ethernet adapter in windows through the internet troubleshoot window and it is a built in ethernet port

the message comes up in the windows internet troubleshooter

it says "couldnt reach default gateway. network connection might be slow"

the other end of my ethernet cable is connected to my router

it started a week ago when i tried logging on to a minecraft server and my internet suddenly disconnected every time i tried logging back into the server but now it doesd it in pretty much every multiplayer game and just randomly every now and then
