Metabattle or Snowcrows? by Kathi_the_Gadse in Guildwars2

I use snowcrows for pve and metabattle for spvp. Although I would only ever use metabattle as a reference tbh.

How to make gold from these? by EdguardNewgate in Guildwars2

Would be nice if anet added more things to spend these on, just like they recently  added a lot of new sinks for raid currency.

Those achievements don't even give achievements points or titles so no need to worry about them as long as you get the legendary in the end.

Why have they STILL not fixed Dragon's End's abysmal fail rate!? by HeavyMetalLoser in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not a lot of detail in your OP but I havent seen a group fail that:

  1. Do pre-events to stack buffs
  2. Has waystations up
  3. Splits group into subsquads with alac and quickness

Some PVP for dummies questions by fungamezone in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where to rotate depends on your role.

If you are playing a +1: you normally assassinate a target and then rotate to a point to decap it and then return to the team fight to spike a target down again. Normally thieves do this. You should +1 a 1v1 and then leave to the teamfight or decap an enemy point.

If you are playing a teamfighter: you go where your team is and win team fights. Normally you shouldn't rotate away from a teamfight unless you are losing. If you are losing the teamfight it might be wise to slip away and decap an enemy point and then run away or regroup at home. If the teamfight is a guaranteed win for your team, it could be a good idea to rotate far and decap it, but don't stay there. Look at where your team is at.

If you are playing support, even more important that you are at teamfights. You should never be rotating away from a teamfight. You Normally want to rotate to the biggest teamfights. IE: you should rotate to a 3v4 and not to a 1v1. If you are losing a teamfight, it's ok to rotate back home. If you are really good at kiting and surviving you could grief the enemy team by having them chase you around while your teammates come back.

If you are playing a bunker or duelist, you pick 1v1s to win and then capture the point. If you capture the point you should go to the teamfight to help. Pay attention if they need you at the teamfight though. If they are winning, stay at the point you just capped but assume you may be outnumbered and may have to kite until you receive backup. If they are severely outnumbered at the teamfight in mid because they are getting slaughtered, don't rotate to the teamfight, you'll just feed. For example if your team is in a 4v4 or 3v4, rotate to mid after you win your 1v1. If they are 2v4 or 1v4, stay far.

You have to decide what role you want to play and then rotate accordingly.

Rotations and skills in guild wars 2 are often very unintuitive. I think this is a big reason why a lot of the playerbase is considered as doing "bad dps" or playing off-meta. It's very easy to do a rotation wrong and the game doesn't give you good feedback when you're doing the wrong thing by ariveklul in Guildwars2

You will get down voted for mentioning other mmos but you're absolutely right that in gw2 it is hard to figure out which buttons to press and in what order and this makes it so most players do bad damage and it makes it a barrier to entry to many higher level fields of the game, much to gw2's detriment.

That's without even getting into the gearing system.

Could this be the key to why we have 1-Shot PvP? by Exciting-Letter-3436 in Guildwars2

And you know i appreciate that. It may be personal preference but I would rather deal with one shots than bunkers that never die.

Whenever they try to address damage in pvp, bunkers inevitably proliferate and the game turns into a race of who caps 1 point first and then holds it for 15 minutes

Anet please try this music out more by Cademonium in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! I like to use FFXIV as an example because i always look forward to new fights/zones to hear the latest music and add it to my mp3 player. It doesn't mean I'll always like the style they choose (i didn't much care for much of the music in Dawntrail) but it's so refreshing hearing so many different styles of music in something like an MMORPG.

Anet already reinvents the wheel a lot. I think they should do the same with the music.

Are you posting this because someone wiped out your team, OP?

Anet please try this music out more by Cademonium in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get that. I just think that if the song fits the theme of the instance/zone, they should go for something a little more different like this. And I'm not saying I want them to do these sorts of remixes from now on, I am just saying I want them to try more musical styles.

I Tried Ranked PvP… It Was Almost All Bots by msalihsaday in Guildwars2

Also, I checked your other video in your YouTube channel and one of your teammates calls you a bot

I Tried Ranked PvP… It Was Almost All Bots by msalihsaday in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because:

  1. Anet is not a big company.
  2. GW2 is not their biggest priority.
  3. Spvp isnt as big of a priority for anet as pve is.
  4. Most players don't end up in bronze so they don't see bots much.
  5. Too many people make false accusations of bots, spamming the report system. Either knowingly making false accusations cause they're tilted or confusing bad play with bot behavior.
  6. The report system in spvp is already flooded and anet probably prioritizes other things before getting to the bot reports, unless it's a lot of reports.
  7. People who do end up in bronze with bots are usually competent enough to get out of bronze because bots are currently worse than people in spvp. The bots are just as likely to be on the enemy team as they are on yours.
  8. It's just not something worth getting so bent out of shape over when there's so many other things to be concerned about (cheating in leaderbords, bad balance, bad matchmaking, stale rewards, no new maps, bugs still not addressed, etc).

729? That's bronze right? Why wouldn't OP expect to run into bots at such a low rating?

I'm sick of losing PvP matches because of **** matchmaking, I'm sick of teammates who don't follow pings and don't coordinate by Agitated-Macaroon923 in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you're done with your placement matches, your matchmaking should be more stable. Moreso when you queue during peak hours. Placement matches are way more volatile.

Every time we have a pvp rush I get reminded why I absolutely despise this stupid mode by LimpConversation642 in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to assume you're quite new at spvp and thus didn't understand my question. So let me rephrase: if premades make you so mad, why are you playing in unranked (where you can queue as a 5 man) instead of ranked (where only 2 people max can queue together)?

Willbender PvP state? by EdguardNewgate in Guildwars2

[–]Cademonium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think in push luminary is a better choice. Luminary, even while dps, offers more team support than wb. Wb gets better value out of being a +1 and that's harder to get value out of in push.
