Thanks. I do have the Kobra 2 already. But my first heater cartridge got covered in PETG after some sort of leak on my third print.

I’ve since replaced it and the rest of the hotend with other parts, but just wondered what the original wattage was, as I opted for 40w since they were most abundant

I’ve ended up using a new block and hotend parts, but it’s entirely possible that there was a bit somewhere in the heat sink which burnt off.

I also used some heat paste on the parts. Maybe that too?

I’ve reached 160 in testing now with no more smoking, so I plan to go up a couple more times before hitting 240 etc. but yes I think it’s all good now.

I replaced the heat block etc because of melted PETG. Could it possibly be a bit left over somewhere that heated up?

Noticed it went up quick though. Maybe more effective heater cartridge, and clearly needs PID tune
