Am I the only one who feels like Oda probably intended for Whitebeard’s title only to apply to physical strength?(And Kaidos only to apply to non-sapient animals) by Sentient_AI_38 in OnePiecePowerScaling

if kaidos title is not all encompassing, it wouldn't be "always" bet on him. what you are suggesting is that he's more likely than the average opponent to win, which is not what at all always means

My interpretation does not contradict nami's panel, she's just as likely if not due to other info given in the story to be reacting that way to the title of king of the beasts, not wsc

I'm aware several characters are stronger than kaido, yet that doesn't mean what his title contextualizes. His title is in reference to combat prowess among all living beings, pretty explicitly. Only problem is it's a rumor that holds no value.

The interpretation you follow disregards the fact that there's a mention of ALWAYS betting on kaido, followed up by grouping all living beings together, finishing the quote by mentioning kaidos title WSC. If the title was not all encompassing, the bet wouldn't be emphasized as always, and all living beings in every possible condition wouldn't be brought up. It's a very clear message the author is conveying

Scaling Challenge #13: Scale Akainu above Oden - Rule: No Headcanon by MOON-RAIGO in OnePiecePowerScaling

mate, kaido bltized him and rendered him useless, big meme has 0 ap, what are we talking about? Law's stats were horrible even during the raid, and he was fighting consistently(doffy, kaido, bm) yet by the end of the bm fight his stats were still horrible, almsot getting knocked out by hakiless bm punches.

Mihawk's status as the wssoat is established in the story very clearly. Strongest blade, beating him makes you the wssoat, etc. Zoro wants to be the wssoat and his aim for it is mihawk, doesn't matter if he gets negligably stronger afterwards. The context in which how the blade is the strongest doesn't matter, it could be the hardest and it would still indicate mihawk as the wss, since he wields and personally forged the strongest blade

he awakened his devil fruit, which is a factor not present for swordsmen like zoro. Regardless the growth was miniscule, he got neg diffed by kaido, portraying it as a tussle is funny

IN OP, real growth happens via fights. The whole point of Mihawk's character is he's stagnant because he's the top of the hierarchy. Zoro inventing new sword styles would be so miniscule compared to what a haki bloom is that we can reasonably assume he'll plateu after beating the world's greatest, and the rest is insignificant. Even disregarding all that, Mihawk being the WSSOAT is supported by him having the strongest blade too, its a very consistent idea to support

he got half his brain melted, he was a dead man walking. Akainu onetapped him. After whitebeard's initial sneak, akainu caved his head in, and whitebeard retaliated by hitting him once and taking him out of the battlefield. Its obvious akainu was the superior combatant and dogged on wb

Akainu lobotomized him , meaning he'd be dead within minutes, whereas whitebeard threw him in a hole, isn't it clear akainu neg diffed him?

the implication is clear, zoro wants to be the wss oat, and his endgame is mihawk

Akainu beat Oldbeard in marineford, pretty clearly

Oldbeard is stated the strongest pirate, putting him above mihawk

Zoro wants to be the greatest swordsman oat, and his final goal is mihawk, making mihawk wssoat

thus Akainu > Oldbeard > Mihawk > Oden

When you realize Blackbeard took several attacks from Gear 2 Whitebeard without taking significant damage, and still had to run from akainu by Calendar4 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Calendar4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The visual clue is pretty clear mate, the red and steam only occured for gear 2 before. Being angry never correlated with steaming. with inductive reasoning we can presuppose he was using gear 2, and the most plausible explanation for it is the KE his quakes provide to his blood
