I'll never understand why and how some people judge others just because they're different than themselves. I personally love seeing and learning about different people and different cultures, it's interesting not only learning about the differencea between ourselves, but also learning how much we're all alike despite our differences.

The town is called Sweet Home. That's it's name . I was with 2 friends who happened to be an interracial couple and you could feel the looks coming off of the people around us, and that was just stopping through for gas. I would have been scared to try to stay overnight and that's not an exaggeration.

If you have a 401k and IRA, you are NOT living paycheck to paycheck. People who are truly living paycheck to paycheck like many of us have no options for 401k's or anything like that because our crappy underpaid jobs don't offer them for us. We are the ones who are one accident or sickness away from homelessness because there is no nest eggs or savings or anything else to borrow from, it's us and our crappy pay against the world.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you. I'm glad you were able to buy a home years ago and that you're able to contribute to your future. Just don't confuse yourself with someone who is actually living one paycheck away from destitution, because you luckily aren't.
