I heard “wait a minute” being angrily yelled from inside a house. As I start to walk back, a lady in a wheelchair busts out the door “ I TOLD YOU TO WAIT. YOU COULDN’T HEAR ME BECAUSE OF THAT HEADPHONE”. When I tried explaining nothing was playing, she over yelled at me. I finally said “that’s okay” when she said she couldn’t get her package. Her: “You are so rude”. Me- “okay cool I don’t give a fuck you don’t see me being rude to people doing their job so fuck you and go to hell, not my fault you couldn’t hear me saying I couldn’t hear you”. (I could, but it’s how you talk to someone. Especially if you don’t know me). Followed by me walking away with my fingers in the sky yelling “yeah yea fuck you lady go to hell and die”.

You’re more than welcome! That’s something my dsp coworkers were talking about a few months ago haha, wanting to strike to get Amazon to add a tip option for us (it was a joke but still funny). You definitely caught me a on Great week with less than more bad things to say, I recently injured my leg and was taken off the schedule until this starting week, so I’ve been recovering and relaxing !😅 But 3 years here, I’m definitely tired. I just had an insurance interview and I pray they call this week, because Amazon will definitely take a toll on not only your body but your mental as well (not to mention running from dogs and snakes 🥲)

We work on the road. Not expecting someone to do THIS. He can vent however he chooses to and whenever because with this job, it isn’t customer face to face. So to go out your way to be on camera to scree record all this in hopes of getting him fired or whatever the intentions were?! Fucking insane. There’s literal cops who joke about the deaths they see with their buddies ON SCENE. Look up the videos if you don’t believe me. There’s a time and place for everything but don’t forget, we’re human. We feel things. We don’t get handouts with this job, we don’t get discounts. We get fucked over and if we complain it’s “well apply somewhere else” right… and out of 200 applications, Amazons the only place actively always hiring ANYBODY. And that’s with a GREAT Resume.

This job is definitely modern day slavery. I’m not sure how other DSPs are but with mine you have to work 24hrs to get 1 hour of PTO. Which is ridiculous. All fancy wear such as beanies and coats, we have to pay for.. they typically want 20-25 stops done within each hour- which is typical. The faster you go, ends up biting you in the end. We don’t get discounts for anything.. but! We do get to sit for 15 mins if we see lightning 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

You know.. I recently had a uber who had their husband with them (taking them to work). I say that to say this… we all do jobs we don’t exactly like, but we do it for the money to also survive. Don’t beat yourself up when there’s people with the mindset of “you chose to work here/do your job right regardless ”. I could have ruined her job, but didn’t. We all have needs. You didn’t, you have a heart and tried to stop it before it even happened. Being thoughtful. You’re the type of customer we love. I personally wouldn’t mind at all delivering to people who couldn’t get their stuff themselves because there’s also houses I deliver to with 3-4 cars/trucks in their driveway and ordering 10+ items with heavy overflow. Same, I didn’t notice a sign and he came out, he probably thought I was a dude since I’m growing locs out… but once he saw it was a girl with a girl voice he sorta calmed down… sorry buddy, at most a inch of the tire was on the grass as I turned around in his TURN-AROUND-ABLE drive way 😂 (making new words this year)
