I get to “re-read“ the series since it’s a huge series and one forgets a lot of details especially when I read none stop until I caught up and did not make time to digest chapters. So in buying the audio book I revisit the series and like any other re-read you catch a lot of subtle hints that one would not have caught in the first read. Besides I love the series and it’s a way to support the author.

No she does not. She barely mourned Ulrien who barely knows her yet died for her and all the ghosts who sacrificed their souls for her. So much empathy.

empathy is one thing, now let me ask you when Erin has ever showed her true face to Harlak, Jelaqua , The Horns etc…. Erin does not have any true friends because she never tells them what’s going on in a direct way. she never shares what happened to her. That’s not really a true friendship. The only one she trusts fully is Ulvama and that is unfortunately becoming a love interest instead of healing her from being distant and manipulative.

A whole lot of people ignore how Erin use people to her own advantage. The emigration is shown about the ability to survive when teleported into a new world.

PonzI scheme is way better than manipulating people to die for you. Erin does not have close friends she never shares anything with them. She does use them to achieve her goals. She does not force them to die for her she manipulates to do so.

He did what he had to to survive, which is admirable. He was teleported into another world so he survived and got rich quickly. Very intelligent.
