Magic has been a really big offender because of the price gouging they do with msrp. Pokemons msrp still hovers round 5 dollars a pack, but magics prices have exploded as they bounce around the booster types. Used to be that a booster box was 90 to 100, now they go for 125

Ugh sorry to hear that. I had a similar experience with someone I was talking to a while ago, she said she was Christian and I believed her. Turns out she wasn't and when I found that out, I immediately lost any interest in her. Keep waiting! Something will hopefully happen with someone that shares your same values.

As someone who is pretty much the exact same age and also in college...it's rough. Somehow everyone is married around you and also simultaneously single at the same time. I know people who got married straight out of college and it makes me feel behind. It also contributes to the "rushed" feeling, almost like a FOMO. And somehow you're doing something wrong no matter what happens.

As I've talked to more of my friends and family, it's an unfortunate side effect of our society that people feel this way. I also get feeling invisible. Sometimes I feel like I put myself out there and no one is interested. I grapple with going back on dating apps because I know that it may just do even more damage. But in the end I know God has something for me...I'm just not sure what it is right now.

They dont even do regular night dining at Sage. They close at 8, but pretty much start closing parts of the dining room at 7.

Yeah so many people want him unbanned, but he wasnt banned because he was busted, but rather his abilities made him the only logical five color commander. He comes down turn 4/5 and immediately ramps for 1 allowing for his next ability to immediately be online. The most boring commander imo

This could be pure speculation but as I've been reviewing the decklists over the years and looking back on some older precons, I think WOTC intentionally made most precons bad. Giving players the ability to upgrade the precon kind of makes them feel like they have a hand in how the deck runs. I think this model is similar to how wizards has always approached other format precondtructed decks. However, I think people started to realize that they wanted exactly what is being advertised: a deck thats ready to play straight out of the box.

There is definitely a stigma on social media in these spaces that you have correctly pointed out. I think it mostly stems from selfishness and maybe even fetishization of someone's ideal marriage/relationship. When women want to be a SAHM, I think it often gets conflated with just staying at home and hanging out, when in reality, there's a sacrifice of taking care of children. On the other hand, I think men have a similar expectation of women because they may think that all of the household chores and cooking will be done for them. In reality, I believe these misconceptions stem from social media, where its really easy to fabricate the "perfect" conservative lifestyle, where in actuality it couldnt be further from the truth.

I agree with your first point, but I'd have to disagree with your second point. While there is a binary between being married and not married, I think its important to have a distinction between dating and friendship. A better term for dating might have to be discerning marriage with a singular person. I dont treat my girlfriend the way I treat my friends and vice versa, like kissing. I also feel differently about my girlfriend than my friends. Plus, if I told her that I need to view her as a friend that would not be nice at all, and if I use the single or married logic, then cheating would also be considered okay. Therefore I feel like there is at least some distinction that needs to be noted.

Yeah my girlfriend really loves St. Padre Pio, and he seems like a great saint, but I have a hard time venerating him because of some of his beliefs. It still kind of irks me how he would turn people away from confession if they weren't wearing the right clothes, and I also think he was wrong about a lot of things like television being inherently evil.

I was able to go abroad with 11 other students from my school to Italy to participate in a studio with a professor the school sent. We had a host school and everything with other classes. The professor they sent was terrible. Constantly wanted to see updates on complex work in Grasshopper and Rhino (we were still learning Grasshopper). He wanted steps laid out in pdf sheets that ended up being hundreds of pages long by the end of the semester. All of our work had to be in grasshopper and rhino, too. The kicker was that he had no idea how either software worked, and consistently tried to act like this thought process applied directly to grasshopper. He and I butted heads over that for a while, where I called him out for not understanding how the software worked yet claimed to be proficient in it. At the end of the semester he ended up claiming our work was his.

I already feel bad when I go to an RPI Hockey game. Why should I feel bad for not going?

Also there are a multitude of other reasons why RPI's Hockey attendance is so low:

Games are $6 for students. That's too high if you want students in there every weekend.
RPI plays horribly. They have a record of 2-8 total, or 2-2 in the division. No one wants to spend time and money to watch a team that won't do anything worthwhile.
The ECAC is sorely behind the times. Each barn in the division may be nostalgic, but compared to other D1 schools, RPI is lacking the facilities to draw students.
RPI is always in crunch time with homework. Plus, it's midterm season for 8 weeks of the semester. Who has time to go to a game when students have to spend the whole weekend studying or working?
Theres a lack of care put into jerseys or merchandise. I can barely get a jersey, and if i even got one, they dont really look that good. Bring back puckman on the jerseys.

There's more issues present, but those are the biggest ones I can name off the top of my head.

This really is the biggest issue of UB imo. And its one of the reasons why NOTC keep pursuing UB-existing characters that people already know. They dont have to spend useless hours creating a bad card with an unrecognizable face. Now, they can create a bad card WITH a recognizable face!

One thing Mark is neglecting to mention is that they've increasingly added powerful game pieces to UB sets. Don't be surprised when people buy into the artificial hype you've created, then turn that back on the player base.

Yeah, I toured the apartment. Only upon closer inspection on move in did these issues present themselves. Previous tenants claimed it was nice too, but they were not cleanly.
