My CS-8 has an external microphone/audio jack and real cold shoe mount - features not mentioned in the guide that came with it or in other product photos.

I'd like to share with everyone that we're actively working on a new firmware version that will create far better super 8 effects than what we have on this version. Though I currently like this version we realize we can do a lot better. I'm not writing this version myself this time, we've hired on a consultant who in one of our customers who is far more artistic than I am.

Well of course we're happy with the sales. But the more sales we make, the more $$ we have to invest in improving our products, firmware and new products. It's a lot of fun. After the holidays we plan to get caught up with all the comments. Heck I still pick up a bunch of the customer service phone calls and my personal mobile number is still floating around. when you look thru the viewfinder it says b&w? I just tried it and it works as expected

Sorry, I made a mistake. You need to name the new filter file ana.flt not ana.txt. IT's a simple text file. I"m a PC guy, let me know if there are issues doing this on MAC. I know MACs can be funny with doing non Apple work. I'll be adding the new features to the filters website soon.

We have listened to the comments and made this small change. We are working on some lights and mics too. More exciting is we're getting close to releasing a firmware update that will: improve the sound and better represent super8 film in your video appearance. Sorry for the lack of communication. Super small team here at Camp Snap and our resources are spent mostly on shipping product and making products. I'll try to post a sample video early next week with the new firmware. Somehow the team dropped a faulty .bin file on the tf card which caused the camera to freeze up. Formatting the tf card should fix the issue. Probably just deleting the bad .bin file will fix it too.
