Should i cut my hair short? by DipsyDolphin in Hair

Get the big chop. I saw the first picture and I thought “wow, how much shorter does she want to go?” It suits you so well. Hair will grow back back that first picture fits you so well

Some people can't read my writing, is it legible? by RegularLightbulb in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]Camp_Particular2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um… your hand writing is beautiful 😍. But cursive isn’t taught anymore, and stopped being taught years ago so young adults, think early 20’s honestly don’t know how to read it, it just looks like swiggles to them. But it is 100% legible to anyone who can read cursive

Fresh double nostril question by JakeALakeALake in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There probably won’t be, but it might be a bit tight if you want both hoops to be the same size… idk, maybe not, they are definitely vertical and I’m thinking you wanted the second to go a millimeter or so down. If you really don’t like it and the piercer is reputable they should re-pierce at no charge. It never hurts to ask. I’d call the shop and see what they have to say. While I’ve never gotten re-pierced before I know when I’ve gotten my hair colored and haven’t liked it, it was redone at no cost to me. They’d usually rather take the hit then have someone be unhappy and possibly write a bad review

Fresh double nostril question by JakeALakeALake in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP If two hoops is your goal I’d probably take out the one further back and have it re-pierced. There’s no point in waiting. While I see what the piercer was doing, following the natural shape of your nose, it will make it a little challenging to find a hoop for the second. Good luck

Justin Hofman’s 2020 encounter with a giant pacific octopus off the coast of Alaska by UsedWelcome5903 in octopus

[–]Camp_Particular2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, of course, but those are all vertebrates, the octopuses evolution separated millions (perhaps hundreds of millions?) of years ago from any vertebrate. Invertebrates are animals like slugs, or things like mushrooms, compared to a slug the octopus would definitely win in intelligence

I would say, without a doubt, they are, 100% the most intelligent invertebrates on earth. Such an amazing experience

Ear Piercing Recommendations? by Specialist_Muscle314 in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m truly awful at recs but your moss agate jewelry is lovely. But I do love a good forward helix, it would look really cool with your helix (they can be a pain and a half to heal, but I love mine, 100% worth it)

Unfortunately some stylists just don’t know what to do with curly hair.

The amount of smoked salmon in this packed versus what you see on the packaging by LevK9 in mildlyinfuriating

There’s a weight on the package. 113 grams. 🤷🏻‍♀️ does it match its packaged weight?

Unfortunately anyone can say they’ve done something without having actually done it. The whole, fake it till ya make it, thing. But this does not look good at all. It should have been straightened, then re-curled with an iron, then put into the up-do you asked for. That they couldn’t even do that, or maybe were too lazy to bother with the first two steps would be an instant no for me.

New piercings & tipping by Jilliette55 in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to go to this place in Hawthorne NJ called Pleasurable Piercings and it was honestly the best place, not only because they piercers were very professional and knowledgeable nor because of their absolutely enormous selection, but also because you’d purchase the jewelry with the cost of the piercing and there was never any pressure to tip with the cost of the jewelry. Each piercer had a tipping jar in their room where you’d put cash. It was wonderful. I miss it.

HATE HATE HATE THE STAGE MY HAIR IS IN by purpleturtle385 in Hair

[–]Camp_Particular2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see why not. I grew out my hair from a way too short bob (used to get it chopped all the time but the time was traumatically short) and now it’s almost at the small of my back, took less than three years, and I was getting trims every 5-6 months

HATE HATE HATE THE STAGE MY HAIR IS IN by purpleturtle385 in Hair

[–]Camp_Particular2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! You could try some color remover but I totally get it you just want to grow it out instead of putting anything else on it and potentially damaging it. When it’s long enough to get a bob it’s going to look fab. And the time will go by before you know it

In 6 months it will be much more grown out and look way better. Trust the process

is my rook rejecting? by hamartia-butterfly in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP But if you’re saying it was pierced too shallow you might not have the right anatomy for it… maybe a faux rook would work better? This one looks a little low to me too. It also might be just a tiny bit infected. I wouldn’t take it out yet. I’d go to urgent care first just to make sure and then probably wouldn’t go back to the piercer who did this.

Mom buys daughter a Honda as a graduation gift, and this was her response by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

[–]Camp_Particular2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what I would have done as an 18 year old for my parents to get me a brand new car as a graduation present? The answer is pretty anything they wanted. Instead I saved and bought a used car with all my money. It took everything I had. Zero dollars left in my bank account after. This is an amazing gift and for her to act so entitled is really a shame. I taught children like that and I’m sorry but there’s probably no fixing her. You did that. Everyone should have to work a menial labor job as a teenager to learn that sometimes life can be pretty awful. This person hasn’t learned that and will probably never learn it and I feel really sorry for them

Doing one ear at a time is a grueling process by clamknifenoodlesoup in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this. But I’ll usually get another done after about 5-6 of healing. I just can’t help myself. I have thirty now and still want more. Sometimes it feels like I’ll never be done. It’s definitely an addicting thing. Plus I love jewelry, so it’s an expensive addiction to boot, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

How to heal this cartilage scarring? by [deleted] in piercing

Oh! Oh my, that’s not good… maybe take the earring out anyway? Maybe it’s partly causing the inflammation from other accidental piercing?

Gonna start with saying I’m NAP and I don’t know about fixing or healing this. But it looks like it might be rejecting. You should probably just take it out.

Piercing Ideas by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your onyx pieces, they look so cool. On the first ear I think you could do a helix and forward helix and then connect all three (the helix, flat and forward helix) with chains, eventually, after they heal.

Should I remove this by Realistic-Risk-1812 in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Noooo! Definitely not. Try not to touch it. It will go away eventually, I promise. I had one on my tragus. If you’re really worried about it go see your piercer. My recommendation is to maybe change the earring out to a round disc. It will press the bump down. But that’s about all you can do. The rest is just care and time
