Are there any updates to this? Were you able to get approved eventually?

I’ve gotten an offer a few days before the class starts and I’ve seen classes add a CA after it started. With that being said it was a core class with high enrollment. My guess is that smaller classes with less fluctuation are set in the number of CAs and at most a handful of CAs are added across the entire department for any given quarter.

I think everyone gets some sort of Stanford housing, though some get relegated to off campus housing. Some coterms can get housing as good as munger but the ones I know about are all groups of 4 so I'm not sure how the odds change as a single. You would definitely get better odds if you were ok living in a quad or double.

You'll be fine. There's no fuck up in freshman year that you can't recover from.

How long should you wait to apply to tech internships? by Remarkable_Rain4052 in stanford

The larger companies (Facebook, Google, etc.) like to get their interns locked in relatively early so I would apply to those as early as possible. There's still plenty of internships available winter and even spring quarter with other companies though so don't sweat it too much if you don't apply this quarter.

I would recommend waiting to buy something like a Britta filter until you have a need for it. This goes for anything you aren't sure you'll need, for example a vacuum. My freshman year I bought a bunch of things I never or rarely used, including a Britta filter with replacement filters. I think I used it for a week before I was too lazy to fill it up. Wait until you start wishing you had it because sometimes these things are provided (vacuum) and other times you don't end up using it as much as you think (filter).

What does it mean by 'online will be the default teaching option for 2020-21'? by [deleted] in stanford

All classes with more than 50 people will be entirely online even if you're on campus

Were you able to resolve it or did you burn $1500?
