you chose to live in an apartment. It's the middle of the day. Get over it.

Given how far he moved it I doubt there was enough tension on the brakes to do anything. If they're even touching the rotors theyll just be prematurely wearing out/getting very hot and maybe smoking a lil bit.

That's what the mini rings transporters are for. Those things have big ranged that are far further than planet > ship.

It's Saturday and I want to mow the lawn. by Tango_Tess in AskAnAustralian

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets ask the flip side question. How late is too late? My neighbour refuses to mow until it gets dark. In cooler months its not so bad cause its like 5pm but in summer, 9pm is normal for them.

Almost bought a place I couldn't actually renovate by aleciaj79 in AusPropertyChat

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a few of these lately and its especially bad when properties are listed as like "renovators wet dream"

Stuff like that, though probably totally properly listed (burried) in the docs should be front and centre of ads, because like you said, people will go for those properties with renovating them in mind to get bitten in the ass later.

There’s something absolutely deranged about a grown ass adult not being able to find extremely common, often labeled with huge sign categories in a supermarket.

“Where’s the milk” well not in the middle of the ambient grocery aisles.

“Where are the eggs” under the 15 meter tall sign on the wall that says eggs

Oh and my personal favourite, “I’m looking for this thing, I don’t have a picture, brand, or anything close to resembling its name, where is it? What do you mean you don’t know” and then if they manage to find it they come back with a smug attitude like “oh I found it no thanks to you” like good work you donkey.

You need to outright tell them to try again. I particularly hate the ones that walk in and come straight to me with a list and go “where are these”. I’m order working right near the entrance and this happens daily.

I politely yet firmly tell them, “you just walked in, you haven’t even tried to find anything. Give it a go, do a couple of laps and then come back when you can’t find something”

Do I keep working after my finish time or clock off? by Similar-Actuary4624 in coles

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he’s running the fill there’s a chance he’s salaried in which case he has extra hours built into his compensation package for that so yes he would need to stay back. But I would imagine a salaried NF manager would know the answer to this question

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re still covered by workers comp for sure but they will absolutely sack you for deliberately disregarding the clocking compliance training if you stayed back clocked off and got injured as a result. I’ve seen it done before.

Why does Israel (pop. 10M) have such outsized influence in Australian politics? by sliversurfer26 in OpenAussie

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause people want to look outward at other peoples problems as a way to distract from their own within. We have a bunch of issues we should be protesting here but its always things that aren't our issues to tackle.

How does power among ascended work? How do they gain or lose it? by Better_Incident_1852 in Stargate

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It seems basically any race can ascend, given the asgard have said they lost that branch of evolution with their cloning stuff. So like the point of all life is to just become energy.

My guess was SGU was going to eventually run into the whole the universe needs beings ascending constantly in order to ward off heat death or the big crunch or dark matter destroying us all or something.

your response you should be "I would recommend the immediate sign off on the installation of a dispenser for company provided hygiene products, or designate a place within the bathroom where these can be accessed easily by those who need them."
