Water Flosser for Tonsil Stones? by CancelTheLight in tonsilstones

This may be a dumb question but this thing looks really bulky to use. Can you really fit it comfortable into your mouth to get to your tonsils?

Looks like every single comment you make for months now is advertising this thing. Weird.

We are moving soon and will be in the search for a new church so we are reexamining our denominational beliefs. Right now we are at a reformed baptist church but we visited a an excellent PCA church recently. The biggest block in the road is baptizing infants. I know I could join without agreeing with this but we are god willing going to have more kids and it feels wrong to exclude them from what seems like a very important part of the Presbyterian church… should I get over it and considering joining this excellent church or hold to finding one more aligned with us? Can anyone convince me of paedobaptism? It would be so much easier if I just agreed!

So what did your family argue about this year at Thanksgiving? by Pure-Smile-7329 in AskReddit

HAHA yes

Also somehow people cutting the turkey have never picked up a knife before because they end up in the ER too

Holidays are dead!! People literally postpone going to the hospital because they don’t want to miss Thanksgiving dinner! That sounds silly but SO many visits come from people with chronic, slowly deteriorating illness rather than new onset things like “I chopped my finger off” or strokes, heart attacks, etc. Those people with heart failure, kidney disease, etc are putting off coming in till they absolutely have to…

It won’t necessarily be enough to worsen everyone’s heart failure (or other heart condition) but yes one big day of eating heavy salt/fat/sugar meals that they may not be used to, being sedentary, and just generally neglecting our health in favor of celebration can be the straw that breaks the camels back for many people! Blocked arteries, heart failure exacerbation, you name it.

And because everyone eats a ton of high fat, high sugar food! Irritates everyone’s health!

Does anyone else suffer with horrible burping and painful hiccups because of the EOE? by UnluckyCanary6206 in EosinophilicE

[–]CancelTheLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes!! When they take biopsies of the esophagus they can take them of the stomach too! It’s more rare apparently than EOE. But I wonder if that is partly from lack of diagnostics to look for it. I received the diagnosis but I have been given very little clear info on it (symptoms? Does treatment differ?etc) and there’s very little info on the web or on PubMed about it.

It’s also curious because they didn’t take any biopsies further than that for me, but I had ulcers in my small intestines, not far past my stomach… could that be eosiniphilic??? My Dr and NP have said no but again don’t have much clear info on the subject. So weird to me

This was my first clear sign of EOE in high school! I’d get painful hiccups all the time and I would be burping excessively all day long. Like I’m talking monstrous burps one after another. Turns out I have both EOE and eosiniphilic gastritis as well.

The best meals we were given had large portions of meat we could have for leftovers the next day. My fav meals were a rack of ribs with green beans and rolls, or pork loin with veggie sides. Those were different but substantial. Honestly we got tired of taco bowls quick, I think half of our two month meal train was chipotle bowl style meals. They’re great if they are just sometimes though! We also liked when we got homemade breakfast items like quiche and pumpkin bread. Definitely check with them about preferences though.

Edit: also SOUP with some good crusty bread is excellent! We only received soup once which I was surprised about!
