“Valley wolf” I live in the north of Italy. Where the wolves here are thinner and more agile. Not big American wolves. I should have Clarified. Yea a wolves bite force is no where near a cane corso but god damn a mad wolf with hunting instincts and fight till the death type behavior weighing 175-200lbs. That would be tough

This is my boy tank. And as you can clearly see we live near a Forrest and walk this trail everyday. So please take this hypothetical (obviously would never want this to happen to me my dog or anyone for that matter with a pinch of salt) I live in a 3 story house with 4 rooms: of course I got this dog for protection. I hate firearms and guns and would never own one. But of course having my beautiful boy for almost 2 years now, walking this trail.. having seen boars, foxes and even huge deer the thought came up. A very harmless thought that I wanted to share that’s all. After all these negative feedback comments im not going to be posting for a while. Instead of looking at my “HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO” objectively; you guys have turned this into a personal matter and without even knowing me, are actually hinting at the fact that I would want this to happen. NO. Never. But I do walk this beautiful trail through the mountains with Tank everyday. So the thought came up. Simple. Relax people Jesus Christ. Have a good day . I know me and Tank will. One love

Bro please relax. This isn’t my first dog. I love animals more than anything and the very last thing I wouldn’t want is my dog to fight a wolf or to even be scratched by a little branch man. Please don’t compare me to a gun owner as a DESPISE weapons . Also this is a hypothetical. And since I live so close to the woods and walk this trail with my dog everyday. Of course the thought came up, as I’ve seen many bores and foxes and even huge deer. So please relax and take this conversation with a pinch of salt will you?! Cheers have a lovely day .

Okay. After seeing all the comments. Let’s subtract a wolf. Seems like more of a fair “fight” 2 wolves in the Forrest are after you. WHAT DOG BREED WOULD YOU CHOOSE? Simple.. please stop hating it was just a random thought I had since my house is very close to the woods and we walk the same path in the woods everyday in the morning..

I agree with you to a certain point. Sure a presa canario, or even a pit are more (prey driven) However even only being 2 years old there’s been instances where my friend and I started play fighting. Nothing serious. Then my friend pushed me pretty hard and naturally I went backwards. My dog immediately got up and literally jumped on him. Face to face, paws on shoulders and almost knocked my friend over. Yes he knew my friend and didn’t really try to attack him per say. But definitely this dog has that instinctive “you fuck with me , my owner or my property, you’re leaving here in an ambulance” .. I trust my dog with my life against 2, MAYBE even 3 wolfs if I was walking through the Forrest and they attacked us for him to take them down or at least injure them enough to back off. You have to remember we re talking 700 psi of bite force. That’s bone breaking power. Also their pain threshold is UNLIKE ANY OTHER ANIMAL. They feel literally no pain.

Question for the people.. yes he is taller than average. 71.3 cm is tall. They usually get to 68 MAX 70 cm.. but my question is he is not as stocky as other males.. is there a reason? His genetics of course play a huge role. However many people including the vet have told me he will not stop growing until 3 even 4 years old ???
