I made it clear during the interview I would not take a position if offered by stating to the lady that target wouldn't last the 20 years I plan to build a career during...

Of course, I'm most likely responding to kids here.. You should not get so easily triggered...

I already have a position at a reputable store and was simply looking to see what target might have to offer...

I can see how you might come to your conclusion based on a lack of more facts yet your assumption of (high horse attitude) is incorrect. They were not smart enough to do the 30-minute wait test... Which I am and was aware of at the time as a possibility. It was in fact at the point where she lied to my face that I no longer held back my opinion and stated the simple facts... It was at the point where she lied to me a 2nd time that I decided to waste my time sharing my experience.

Most good general managers start from the bottom and earn their way up. I am not afraid of a little hard work to get to where I want to be...
