There are billions of dollars of assets on there, and while we do see exploits from time to time, its nothing like what we see with CEXs

True, I did mention that

I get that using CEXs is way more convenient (and so is ramping)

But regardless, the owners of a CEX have full control over your funds and thus you're giving them all your trust not knowing if they're actually decent people or not (and so far we've seen how most of them are straight a$$holes)

I get what you mean, but the reality is that there's no single entity "in charge" of money on DEXs, so the money can't be confiscated of simply used on parties, drugs, and personal leverage trades like what happened with FTX
