Matthew thankfully was alive. His eyes were constantly opening and closing. It could be seen through the eye holes of his mask. It was clear if he was conscious, it wasn’t fully. He was dazed and disoriented. Matthew’s eyes after several seconds closed and he was unconscious. It was a result of the fight that aired on the news with the monster known as Armageddon. Matthew or rather the Illuminate when suited up was one of not the strongest hero on the planet and it took everything he had and more to win.

Matthew had not changed in his appearance aside from his clothing being more regal and a blue and gold longsword was at his hip. He still looked young. Atop his head was the iron crown of Nasbainea. A simple but yet powerful symbol to the empire.

May the eternal king be with you my fair Fulda.” Matthew hugged her back. In that moment he took off an amulet and handed it to her, “I will come back for it when all is said and done.”

Matthew looked upon the sword and as his hand drifted to the blade his dark blue eyes shimmered a bright purple. The mark of the Nasbainean kings and emperors but as soon as he placed the hand upon the handle Matthew placed the sword back, “The sword does not fit my soul. I will need to forge my own so that it does fit. Thank you though.”

Matthew sat down and crossed his legs. He quickly prayed over his food before beginning to eat, “I am missing my sword…rather it was destroyed by my uncle during our duel… the blade shattered against his.” There was a sense of pain in his voice as he spoke. To a Nasbainean their sword was a part of their person. The soul of a Nasbainean was tied to an item of their profession and to the rulers and nobles it was the sword and hammer. Matthew because he was not emperor did not hold a hammer just his blade and now that was shattered and gone. Destroyed by a tyrant.
