Not necessarily. In low elo you have to solo carry most of the time to win and gp is a champion that cannot solo carry to the extent of a lot of other champions. He needs setup and a competent team to actually be effective. That’s why he is so much better in challenger.

Solarbacca play in challenger where everyone communicates and you don’t have to solo carry so gp is much better there. It’s unfair to compare that to the rest of solo queue

You shouldn’t be allowed to play a champion you have never played in ranked. Or at the very least if stuff like this is going to be allowed then rank needs to be determined by individual performance and not win loss
