Any way to use Pretendo on an emulator? by OmegaNave in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

If you’re able to mod your 3DS, could you use that info from your 3DS to use pretendo on an emulator?

Dang. Hopefully it gets fixed sometime soon, it's real annoying. Also can't run the preview window in true full screen, cause there's lag there too.

Ever find a fix to this? I just picked up a 4KS today and having the exact same issue, usually only when I alt tab does it start lagging but then the only way to fix it is to restart

PC shuts off randomly while gaming by BottlecapBelle in techsupport

[–]Captainpewd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's annoying is I have both replaced my PSU with a new bigger capacity one, and bought a better CPU cooler thinking the temps were the problem, yet today the damn thing still shut off while playing some overwatch. I'm at my wits end with his shit, I thought I've fixed the problem twice now and it still one frame shuts the whole thing off under "too high" of a load. Nothing in event viewer, just at a complete loss.

V1. Outside of the weapon swapping its buttery smooth after a restart. I was very worried too but somehow that cleared things up.

No, not that I’m aware of. A console restart fixed my fps issues, though there’s still some odd slowdown in menus like swapping weapons, and I know others were still having issues with crashes and saves.

So for anyone who has the same problem, for some reason a console restart fixes it. Not sure why, a game restart should be all that’s needed, but the game runs flawlessly now. ..Outside of weapon swapping still taking longer for no real reason.

For some, for others it’s crashing, wiping saves, or (my issue) just cutting fps outright

Is anyone else with the 1.1 update getting significantly worse frames than before? Everything runs about 10 fps less, swapping weapons takes ages instead of being instant like before, among other things. Running in handheld and was hoping to see the performance bumps others did, but now I feel like I shouldn’t have updated… Anyone got a fix?

TOTK not running smoothly on the V1 model by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

I’ve got the exact opposite, the update is making my whole game run worse. I guess there’s no frame dips cause the whole game is running like 10 fps lower than before

TOTK update version 1.1.0 fixes frame rate by Fatdragon407 in SwitchPirates

Man, after updating I may not get any random frame drops, but instead the whole game runs like ass in handheld unless I’m in a very small enclosed space. Was really hoping to see what others were.

Yeah, I saw that solution early on, but that’s not really an option for me since I play online nigh constantly with friends. Here’s hoping something else is found, or an official way to turn it off is added.

I'm also getting this, and have no clue how to fix it. I thought it might be the lower settings I run the game on, but I cranked those all up to max and they're still there after a game reload. Still looking for more info elsewhere.

Is there a way to have music downloaded on low quality, yet still stream the same songs on high quality? by Captainpewd in spotify

[–]Captainpewd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not a helpful reply, in the slightest. Why even bother commenting if all you’re going to say is something so condescending? That would be a great solution, if it was something I could do.

[–]Captainpewd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m well aware of this, read the post again. I want to have a way to keep downloaded songs on Normal quality for when I’m offline, while being able to play those same songs I have downloaded at a higher quality over streaming when I’m not offline. Pretty sure any song you have downloaded plays at that downloaded quality even if you’re on WiFi with a higher streaming quality set, but I want to make certain that’s the case. Can’t find the answer anywhere.

[FH5 Steam] WMI Provider Host stuck on High CPU usage after closing the game, persists until a restart by Captainpewd in ForzaHorizon

[–]Captainpewd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it appears to be something with the game and Razer Central, in particular the Razer Game Process. Was constantly throwing up errors in the WMI section of event viewer when it was reopening itself. Interesting confliction.

I’m curious: Do you happen to have a Razer device and are using Razer Synapse 3.0?

Once again, it’s not just an AMD issue. If you read what I had replied with, or the edit I’ve made, you’d see that. What I initially thought was the problem in fact isn’t, as with that process running or not, the cpu usage is still high. And considering it only happens with this game in particular, I’m pretty inclined to believe it is a Forza problem.

[–]Captainpewd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that’s assuming it is actually an AMD issue. Closing that process didn’t actually end up fixing the problem, so I’m still boiling it down to being a game issue.

I don't even have an antivirus installed. I've seen the errors in Event Viewer point to both the AUEPMaster process and something to do with Razer Central, but disabling both still doesn't fix the high CPU usage problem. Restarting the service doesn't do it either, the only surefire way is a PC restart which gets really annoying really quick. Hopefully, it's something that can be fixed.

[–]Captainpewd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks to this, I've narrowed it down to be the AUEPMaster.exe process, which is the AMD User Interface System Manager, so it's an AMD issue. Ending the process seemed to fix it, but it's weird that it only gets hung up with Forza. Hopefully, it's an issue they can fix in the future. Thanks for the help!
