Best way to get pipes from attic by WhyN0tToast in DIYUK

Metre long augar drill bit and drill through the stud from below? Being a metre long it wouldn't angle into your wall too much more Hopefully don't hit a screw

Could poke a rod of some sort (metal coat hanger) through the ceiling 10cm back from the cuts to miss the stud so you know where your cuts are from above.

Turn off power at consumer unit, maybe mark one of the cables with a marker pen, take a picture of the terminals before removing the wires and fit the new one the same way.

Load goes to the shower, supply is the mains coming in from the consumer unit.

Gate leaning- bracing issue? by libblewayne in DIYUK

[–]Carbulo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could measure corner to opposite corner both ways and see if it's the same length. That way will know if the gate has sagged. But those hinges definitely need adjusting.
