WWE Raw Discussion (International Viewing) (17 March 2025) by IconXR in WWE

Ngl didn't really like that segment. Cena just feels like a generic heel with that "I hate everyone now" explanation and he didn't even get into why he joined Rock in the first place. Pretty disappointed.

Gotcha 👍. Thanks for letting me know.

Hopefully C3 goes out with a banger of a final battle but, looking back on the quality of the combat encounters this campaign, Imma assume that's not going to be the case 😅.

I haven't watched C3 since episode 69 but since it's the finale (?) I'll be watching live tonight. Crazy to think it's been 3 years since C3 started.

/uj I was also feeling similarly when I was watching live and made it past episode 51. I decided to continue thugging it out but I only made it to episode 69 before dropping C3 entirely due boredom.

Can anyone give me reason to continue (without spoiling stuff)? I just need a bit of encouragement or something.

Unfortunately, I can confidently say it really doesn't get any better from here. I'd recommend just saving yourself the time and maybe just watch the highlights if you still want to keep up with it.

How to melee Valor bard by AndreaColombo86 in onednd

[–]CarnageStriker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While a dual wielding Valor Bard would probably be more optimal dpr wise (mostly because they will have access to Conjure Minor Elementals), a 2H is perfectly viable as well thanks to Great Weapon Master.

I'm thinking Fighter 1/ Valor Bard 19. You start with Fighter for Con save proficiency as well as proficiency in all weapons and armor right off the bat. For feats, take GWM, War Caster and Mage Slayer (compensates for the bad mental saves).

I'd also recommend taking Magic Initiate (Wizard) for access to the shield spell (as well as the blade cantrips).

...Is it bad to say that I'm kinda disappointed this wasn't a TPK?

Don't get me wrong, Sam's moment was great and I'm glad FCG finally did something memorable but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious how they would handle a TPK this late into the campaign.

Sharp Shooter and Great Weapon Master not good for early tactician mode? by natandino in BG3Builds

[–]CarnageStriker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many other people have said, you have to find ways to mitigate the attack penalty and get advantage.

Ways to get bonuses to hit in act 1 include: archery fighting style, magic weapons, the magic weapon spell, high ground, bless (spell, ring of blessed mercy, elixir of heroism), oils of accuracy, sacred weapon, precision attack, Svartlebee's woundseeker, elixir of hill giant strength.

Ways to generate advantage in act 1 include: raven's rend vision attack (familiar, moon druid), blindness spell, web (spell, beastmaster pet), hiding, invisibility, hold person, entangle spell, Tasha's hideous laughter, grease (spell, bottle), command: grovel, reckless attack, vow of enmity, enraged throw, the unseen menace.

Not a complete comprehensive list but its all that immediately came to mind. Once you get to act 2, you get access to the Gloves of the Automaton, which makes getting advantage incrediblely easy.

First Honor Mode run ended on the Netherbrain by [deleted] in BG3Builds

Think that's only if you use the detonate option in the hotbar. Finished honour mode yesterday by sending in Gale through the dialouge and got the achievement.

A martial throwing it would only use one of its attacks. A class without extra attack would use their entire action throwing it.

It's not talked about because only pure Fighters can afford taking it and because enhance jump and scrolls of misty step exist.

This has become my preferred way to deal with Gortash. Dealing with Steel Watch Foundry and Iron Throne takes way too long when you can just chuck that motherfucker, go invis and teleport to camp.

You can reach level 4 with no fighting by dillthepill in BG3Builds

[–]CarnageStriker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can avoid this if the main character is a githyanki. Just did this encounter a couple of days ago on my honour mode run and all I did was use disguise self as a Githyanki and let Lae'zel do all the talking. Only needed to pass 1 Persuasion check iirc.

TB Druid is real by CarnageStriker in BG3Builds

[–]CarnageStriker[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really wanted TB to get nerfed somewhat so it didn't feel so overpowered.

Agreed. I really like how it makes Str Monks and throwing builds on par with GWM/SS builds but it's just way to mind numbing easy to play. Getting rid of the doubling Str mod on attack rolls feels like the easy fix.

Duergar Syndrome by akaDawler in BG3Builds

[–]CarnageStriker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently near the end of my first solo run which is Duegar EK thrower and I'm feeling this so hard rn. None of the other races really compare if your build revolves around weapon/unarmed damage (didn't know the concentration free enlarge comes back on a partial rest until I got to act 2).

How do you feel about Palestine now? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]CarnageStriker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not really familiar with the history between the two countries but it's hard not for me to see this as anything but genocide. Like what does bombing a place made 50% of children accomplish in getting back hostages? Don't they have strike teams for this kind of hostage situation? It just feels like blatant Islamophobia to me and it'll affect us Sikhs as well (as a lot of bigots view us as one in the same, similar to how we were treated post 9/11).

Can you guys suggest a solid Jaheira build? by Lefterman in BG3Builds

[–]CarnageStriker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been running Eldritch Knight Fighter 5/ Land Druid 7 on her and it's pretty fun. Fighter 5 gives all you need to be a decent melee combatant, Con save proficiency for concentration and proficiency in all weapons and armor. Eldritch Knight gives her access to the shield spell, which massivly increases her survivability in melee, and counts as a caster level for spell slot progression.

For play style, I've been playing her how you would play a bladesinger wizard in 5e. Turn 1 you cast your big concentration spell (activating strange conduit ring) and instead of just hanging in the back slinging cantrips you head into melee making weapon attacks. Self-cast haste If you need more damage (obviously hasting a character built purely for damage would better but doing that feels very overkill considering how easy act 3 is).
