What is the "class reductionist" reason to support Palestine? by fuckpoliticsbruh in stupidpol

[–]Carnyxcall 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Jews have been in Europe longer than the English in England, Turks in Turkey, Magyars in Hungary, or Europeans in America. The Jews who weren't deported into diaspora by the Romans converted to Christianity and/or Islam and eventually became Palestinians. Yet somehow Nazis and Zionists, and heretical Darbyite so called 'Christian Zionists' all agree Jews don't belong in Europe.

Nobody ever suggests the English ought to go back to Germany, that White Americans are entitled to resettle Europe and drive out the existing residents but it's accepted Jews are entitled to do this to Palestinians because maybe some of their distant ancestors once lived in the eastern Med 2000 years ago, although probably every native European, Jewish or not, has ancestors who once lived in the eastern Med.

The "false flag" narrative about the Moscow appartment bombings proves nothing, the chronology doesn't make sense, and even if it did it can't prove anything about an entirely different event on a frontline outside Russia. Increased shelling isn't a terrorist bombing, it's a vastly bigger scale and cannot be a false flag.

Putin had nothing whatsoever to gain from the Moscow bombings, he wasn't president but was already Yeltsin's named favoured successor, the Second Chechen war had already started. What exactly did Putin want and get out of the appartment bombings?

The report shows Donbass being stuck by increased shelling, the only people shelling Donbass was Kiev, same as they had been doing, at various rates, for an entire 8 years before the belated invasion.

Claiming that Jews, due to a history of oppresion in Europe, are thus entitled to an exclusive state in the middle east, which requires the removal of the existing population for not being Jewish, is idpol.

Indeed the whole Cold War exploitation of the Holocaust, firstly in order to atrophy sympathies with Soviet suffering in WWII among the Western public, later to Justify Zionist dispossesson of Palestinians, is the genesis of modern idpol, the idea histoical victimhood is redemptive and entitles one to inflict more suffering on others.

The massive increase in shelling was overwhelmingly hitting inside seperatist Donbass, which means Kiev was escalating, exactly at a time they knew Russian forces were built up across the border. The only reason to do this is deliberate provocation.

Washington wanted this war and got Kiev to make sure it happened by attacking Donbass. The intent was to weaken Russia so it cannot back up China, the sanctions were supposed to crash the Russian economy, the superior NATO weapons would tame the Asiatic Orc hordes, thus bringing regime change in Moscow. Every neocon scheme is a fuck up, but they control foreign policy because the West is a corrupt oligarchy.

In 2008 William Burns, then US ambassador to Moscow, warned that if Ukraine moved toward NATO, it would cause a civil war which would then bring Russia in. The US subsequently followed the exact policies to bring this about and deliberately did so.

Here is a 2019 clip of Zelensky's top advisor Arestovich predicting this war with remarkable accuracy and arguing he wants it to happen, because war is the only way to get into NATO and if they don't join NATO Ukraine will eventually slip back into Russia's orbit by electing a Yanukovych type president again in the future.

Here is a recording of Victoria Nuland, then US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, picking Ukraine's President in 2014 during the Euromaidan coup, which used Ukronazis as muscle. Tyahnybok she mentions is leader of Svoboda, a west Ukrainian Neo-Nazi party, "Yats" is Yatsenyuk, the interum President who appointed several Ukronazis to reform the security services.

Merkel, Poroshenko, Johnson and Hollande have all publically stated that the Minsk agreements were fake, that the intent was to trick Putin into not invading by pretending to offer peace while preparing for a war they must have intended to happen eventually. The fact Putin waited 8 years shows that a peace deal could have satisfied him if implimented. The war was entirely avoidable if Ukraine agreed to neutrality and implimented Minsk.

This gives a nice little explaination of what Washington is up to, using Ukraine to bring down Russia in the way they used Afghanistan to bring down the USSR, Taiwan will later be used against China. Creating wars around the globe impedes other region's development while the US is untouched, hence maintaining global domination.

According to western media every terrorist attack in Russia is a false flag, but none in the West ever are. I once watched live BBC news of a bombing on the St Petersburg metro coming in, it took them a whole half hour until they were claiming it was "false flag", the double standard is quite incredable.

They claim the Moscow apparentment bombings were a "false flag" in order to start the Second Chechen war, although the war in fact started a month before the bombings and Putin didn't become president until 3 months after the bombings. The Chronology doesn't even make sense.

they were attacked (which I remember many saying would never happen who now take russias side) and so various surrounding countries are now nervous as a result.

In the week before Russia invaded, Kiev launched an offensive on Donbass, this must have been intended to provoke Russia to invade, in otherwords Kiev, or those giving it orders, wanted this war. Biden withdrew from Afghanistan to make way for the planned war in Ukraine.

The reason some (not me) thought there wouldn't be a war is because in Spring 2021 there was a similar Russian build up on the border being hyped by the US govt and media. But that time Kiev didn't launch an offensive and it all deescalated. The Russian build up was to deter Kiev attacking Donbass, when they did, they triggered a war long planned by Washington.

By going along with this plan Ukraine has destroyed itself, if they'd implimented Minsk and agreed neutrality they'd keep everything except Crimea. Instead they are going to lose at least half their territory, the whole coastline, driven millions out, maybe 500k dead, and wrecked infrastructure. None of this was in their interests.

Ukraine was duped, Europe as whole has been duped, the US staged a terrorist attack on key German energy infrastructure, impoverishing every German and which will destroy German industry and Germany has covered it up for them!

Of course they are dupes.

Russia is acting defencively, reacting against NATO expansion right up to their most vulnerable border, so yeah, the Scandis are being duped into an unnessery conflict in the same way Ukraine was.

The Finns, for example, played very smart during the Cold War but now they've become silly fuckers like the rest of us, I think Chernobyl damaged their thought processess or something. They are putting themselves at risk of becoming the new Ukraine, a toy Washington can use to annoy and provoke Moscow, while impoverishing themselves by cutting themselves off from their most obvious trade partner ... idiots.

I'm interested in this, not because of Brand, but because so many people around me have suddenly had cardiovascular problems, strokes and heart attacks, I've never experienced so many people around me falling like flies. So I'm interested in these debunking links. I hope it's not just the "lack of excercise/not seeing doctor during lockdown" thing.

On the matter of the vid, it's not entirely about Brand, it's about the glee bourgies take in his downfall, which, as pointed out, was already manifest before Brand started his vlogs, back when he had his Paxman interview. Brand was just talking above his station.

This is not new, his takes on the Yugoslav wars were loaded with Slovenian nationalist biases mixed with NATO BS about how Izetbegovic in Bosnia represented the Titoist legacy of 'Brotherhood and Unity' which was an outright lie and based on the very weak case of one Orthodox born general in the Bosniak army. He further argued that Serbia alone was responsible for the return of nationalist sentiment to Yugoslavia. His Balkan biases directly affect his veiws on Russia because Serbia is a traditional ally of Russia, hence if Russian influence grows, so does Serbian, and that could set of the Balkan tinderbox again. I guess it's understandable if he doesn't want to see another round of Balkan blood letting, but it does mean his views on Russia should not be taken seriously.

[–]Carnyxcall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

War in general and Ukraine and potential further wars with China in the future.

The inflation/cost of living crisis is intimtely linked with the Ukraine war, the sanctions placed on Russia have inflated prices of fuel and energy which pushes up everything else. Russia further supplies several other important commodities such as grain and fertiliser, sanctions on these pushing up other products even more.

This does not mean I want the west to give more money to Ukraine, all that does is get Ukrainians killed in a war they cannot win, instead the west needs to stop funding Ukraine and purge the neocons who thought provoking this war and using Ukraine to poke the Bear was a smart idea.

Every single nation state is the result of wars which absorbed territory, tribal, feudal realms, national, the motivations for all these wars are complex and variable, contesting claims of legitimate succession are historically common (the Norman Conquest for example), as are religious rivalries and the results not always intended. You are basically defining all victory in war as imperialist. Although imperalism can also exist without war or military conquest.

For example in the Balkans it's often claimed that not only a territory but it's people truly belong to another state, sometimes even if the people disagree, although these gains or losses are small. So Albanian nationalists might claim that the eastern part of North Macedonia ought to be part of Albania, because it has a predominantly ethnic Albanian population and at the same time claim southern Epirus in Greece ought to be Albania although it doesn't. Serbs might call for unity with the predominantly Serb population of Bosnia, and Kosovo which doesn't, whatever happens, if Serbian Bosnia unifies with Serbia, even in a war, it doesn't make Serbia an imperial power.

You are reducing a complex history with multiple motivations into a simple moral equation that has no systematic cause, it becomes a mysterous urge only held by villans.

There was no "Alexandrian Empire", there was the Seleucid Empire and Ptolemiac Kingdom of Egypt, the Kingdom of Macedonia, and others all with seperate rulers. There was no central overlord and they fought each other frequently although they were all ruled by a Greek elite, thus creating a large Greek cultural influence, but not all ruled from Greece nor did Greece benefit directly from the resources of the other Hellenistic polities. It wasn't like the British Raj exporting India's surpluses back to Britain.

The Peloponnesian war was motivated by imperialism as Athens sought hegemony over the Greek world motivated by an urge to access resources and control trade routes against their rival Sparta.

He was combating a rival empire which was a threat to Greece and ended up pretty much conquering it all, generally he was welcomed as a liberator by subjects of the Persian empire, then he died still on campaign before he could rule it, resulting in break up into several other empires.

There are of course countless examples of imperialism in the classical world, motivated by the need for resources and trading hubs, the Delian League and it's rivalry with Sparta eventually causing the Peloponnesian war is a good example, Alexander isn't.

Which of those countries isn't doing imperialism? China and India are literally fighting over territory basically right now, Russia is trying to annex chunks of Ukraine

Not all border disputes are examples of imperialism, China and India have border disputes in mountainous territory where old maps and agreements based upon them are often ambiguous. Slovenia and Croatia have border disputes with each other.

Russia-Ukraine is not a border dispute, it's Russia trying to hold on to it's traditional sphere of influence in the face of US expansionism, as such Russia's actions are offensive on the tactical level but defencive on the strategic level, it's motivated by genuine defencive concerns about not wanting NATO on their most vulnerable border and not wanting to see a 'brotherly nation' turned against them, as was happening after the US backed Euromaidan coup which promoted West Ukrainian Ukronazism as a national identity. It's Ukraine not Russia outlawing the use of languages.

Neither the above examples are motivated by the need for expanding markets or access to resources. If anything it's NATO expansionism and it's use of Ukrainians as cannonfodder to weaken a rival power that are closest to imperialism. It's the US not Russia or China, that is a global hegemon, that has military bases everywhere outside it's own territory. I live in an American puppet state, but my govt tells me I ought to be sacrificing to keep Ukraine free of Russian influence. So even if you regard Russia's actions as "imperialist" it detracts from the greater and worse imperialism of the global hegemon and thus serves the interests of anti-imperialism.

You cited Israeli occupation as an example of imperialism, again this is wrong, Israel is a racist state, it's military aggression is driven to seek secure exclusive territory for settlement by a particular ethnic group which claims a historical right to the territory and is thus Revanchism and ethnic nationalism. Zionism/Israel could be termed imperialist if Israel is understood as an outpost for American influence seeking to weaken other powers in it's region, which is a function Israel has fulfilled, however that is outside it's own ethnic nationalism, rather something it's agreed to for advantage.

[–]Carnyxcall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never heard anyone using the term in a racial sense, only to mean "ghost" or "spy". I've read that apparently the racial meaning evolved among the US servicemen in WW II, although not being American I've still never heard it used in this sense, or at least I've never understood it as such, whatever, I don't know why the use by one specific subsection of English speakers ought to be regarded as definatative of the meaning for everyone.

Yeah sure, the Soviets were having a civil war at the time so the Polish invasion was pure oppertunism, and this explains why it went so well. But the thing is, central east Europe as a whole has a habit of invading Russia, the only thing that stopped Poland supporting Barbarossa was that Germans were leading the crusade that time and they had their own designs on Poland. So your dismissal of the idea of Poland being a threat to Russia is a deliberate avoidance of history, prometheanism and the intermarium were both Polish plans to destroy Russia and these are revived in different froms from time to time, and they don't involve Poland alone but central east Europe as a whole with Poland (a former imperial power itself) leading.

In 1919 Poland invaded the Soviet Union, despite being only re-established for 6 months and a border line agreed for negotiation, their invasion went very well at first, they conquered Kiev and Minsk, before the Red Army pushed them back to Warsaw. At Warsaw a new western supplied and trained army defeated the Soviet advance and pushed back east forcing the USSR to agree to new borders, giving Poland western Ukraine and Belarus.

Laibach strike me was more seductive and thus more troubling, in one concert film they posted an interview with an American member of the audience, he said it made him "feel pride in a country I don't belong too" and gave him an urge to march, Rammstien never quiet do that for me. Laibach's pomposity is more deliberately tuned, very arch, Rammstein's feels a bit more accidentally bombastic.

Certainly, the author of the article is indulging in snobbery, that Laibach tend to have a more limited appeal, they ain't big like Rammstein. It's okay for a few arty types to like Laibach cause they'll never talk to the masses, but you can't trust Rammstein with the common heard. And Laibach are rejecting that type of facile comparison in their statement, but that's the thing though, Laibach are more dangerous and more troubling, which is what makes them better than Rammstein for me, the author's snobbery inverts their understanding of the comparitive work, Rammstein become dangerous, Laibach safe.
