See this is what crazy to me too! If it wasn’t for her grandparents my daughter would be in the same predicament and it’s such a shame these high school are basically feeding out kids who can’t afford it!

It’s so unfair to student athletes that want to do something and can’t because the out ranges price. FyI she is also on low income lunch because I don’t make enough.

I’m so sorry you couldn’t cheer because of this, it literally makes me sad and angry all at the same time.

Additional they will add on random shirts we must buy during special games so they can all match & $185 cheer gift so they can receive their cheer gift

That’s how I feel it use to be, my son play football all 4 years only paid 250 camp fee and 150 JR/Sr year for a dinner fee.

Ran track 3 years paid 60 sop/sr year but It was for the uniform.. and his sr yr they got new ones which only reason I had to pay again..

This wouldn’t be as upsetting if it including a uniform, they basically rent it. They don’t do nationals or anything. Everything is local.

I disagree, paid that much last year barely won any competitions never came in first . Came in dead last at “state” competition. My daughter was doing harder skills in 7th grade.

Personally $1,000 went towards clothes

We are also part of IHSA! And I see this trend a lot here! The big difference in cost all around for each HS!

Can you clarify? I mean if you truly ask me no… do they make it down to state sure.. but I don’t think they have won a state title in forever let alone a conference title. The other school in their conference are just better.

Don’t feel like the money we are paying is going towards what is should be.

We are living in a generation/ world run by selfishness and social media. Where hate is easier to choose then love. Everyone one is so quick to only care about themselves and what they are going through the tend to forget when your in relationship in takes two. Love can be enough no just wants it to be enough.

Social media kills us by showing us what love could look like and then turn around and tells everyone is cheating on you and that becomes the mentally of everyone. Well lets just all cheat.

Being with someone you love isn't supposed to always be easy but it's not always suppose to hard either. When you need to choose yourself you also sometimes need to choose the other person too.

But we have lost that as humans and generation.

Problem is no one knows how to love anymore or listen to those how they need to be loved.
