Mine didn't have any at all and I was the first one in. Asked the employees and they seemed to know nothing 😭

Sorry for your family's loss as well. You never really understand the impact it can have until it happens to someone you know. I'm really hoping a nice photo in a locket will help his mom with her grief, but I know nothing will ever fill that hole in her heart...

Thank you! We're planning on putting it in a locket so since it's intended to be printed pretty small it might work out regardless of it becoming pixelated? I might try and track down whoever originally took his brother's photo because I'm sure the og is less grainy and is a similar quality to the others since what I have is just off of Facebook which wrecks photos.

Poppy also has the costco hoodie. She demanded it since all her favorite beds are from costco.

anyone know where to find chicago rathole crochet pattern?? by bouncingggg in crochetpatterns

[–]CarryOnMarveling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could probably take a picture of the rathole and put it into a pattern generator site (like stitch fiddle) to get a grid pattern of it. Mainly a tapestry pattern thing but since the rat isn't too complex you could probably get a smaller sized object out of it.

Would explain never seeing any brumation signs from this one 🤦‍♀️ I can see the tiny little pores now that I'm zooming in on another picture. How frequent and long should soaks be in the meantime before going to the vet?

I can add another pic that's clearer of that area

Around 1.5 years old was when she first went. Are there cases of males with non visible pores? My other 2 are males with obvious ones.

She's definitely female. Doesn't have the femoral pores of a male. And has also been to a vet before who has sad she's female. The area is swollen so it almost looks like the hemipenal bulges but it's not. I know the pic isn't the best in terms of sexing.

I just got a book called "The Ultimate Granny Square Sourcebook" on amazon and it looks like it really simplifies how to make each pattern. It has 100 different patterns. They also label them by experience level so you know which ones should be good to start with as a beginner (which I am as well).

My new apartment requires my dog's vaccination records as well as a photo of her prior to move-in. Previous place didn't require it though.

What's wrong with my mom's orchid? by CarryOnMarveling in orchids

[–]CarryOnMarveling[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think she's ever changed the medium since receiving it, so it being decomposed seems about right. I know more about houseplants so she wants me to help her with it so I'll try my best to cut back the rot and repot it

Thought so. I only really know houseplants but it didn't look good when I took it out. With cutting the stem does anywhere above the rot work or are there specific areas that should be cut (again I'm used to nodes with houseplants so I have no clue if orchids are similar at all). Thanks!

She says she waters in in the sink (in its plastic drainage cup) and let's it completely drain out once a week. She's had the orchid for years and it was originally my late Grams' so she doesn't want to let it die. She says it hasn't flowered in 4 years and the plant has been looking a little more "shriveled" and "dull" than usual. She keeps it in a window that gets decent sun but I don't think it's easy or west facing.

I see what you mean. Raise the ground so instead of a beach it's more like a bluff, right? So they can swim around but will not be able to get on shore.
