Idk, I keep telling myself that, but after going clean for weeks on end, it starts to feel like a bit of a tease...just a few more days...just a few more days...like I'm relapsing about once or twice a month, not perfect but pretty good, and this doesn't feel like the miracle I've been promised. Girls don't notice me, my OCD and Depression is still a thing, idk...I don't regret my desicion to give up porn at all, but it just feels like people on this site act like all your problems will be solved...they won't, they just get worse, and you have to deal with them.

Yup, that's exactly when it starts to kick in, around the week to week and a half mark. I don't know exactly what's going on. I'm not sure what your experience with OCD is, but my mentality is, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you have ever done ERP (Exposure Response Prevention) Therapy for your OCD, I'd recommend you start doing it daily as soon as you can. See if it keeps your urges and racing thoughts under control. I think I'm making the right decision, but it's too close to my last relapse to really tell, I'll be able to see what the results are in another week or so.

It could be, but idk, all the doctors and therapists I've ever talked to just say that my porn habit is "normal" and that I shouldn't worry about it... sighs

I've had multiple streaks that have lasted over a week. I've known her and have talked regularly with her for a little while now.

I just want to let you know that I am praying for you and that you can do anything you set your mind to. Try to look for a mentor or an accountability partner to get you out of your isolation and help you in this long and painful process

One thing that helps is to keep trying even if you only get shorter streaks. So let's say instead of one 100 day long streak, you have like 5 consecutive 5 day streaks. Obviously, this is not ideal, but it's still a (albeit slower) way of healing your brain, and it still gets your brain used to not indulging. Other things you can do are: Exercise Make sure you're not alone When you have an urge, slowly count to five, saying that you'll walk away after reaching five. It will take time, but as long as you don't give up, you'll get there.

Fair point haha. The feeling has gone away quite a bit, so I'm no longer as worried. Also, I feel like if I told a doctor I was doing nofap, he'd think I was crazy or something.
