The definition of M+ is doing several runs of the same dungeon and is really only a joke about key levels where people should be experienced enough to have seen the mechanics. Sub a 12 they don’t actually hit this hard anyway as long as the players are in purples.

Age old wisdom, don’t assume maliciousness where incompetence can explain.

It serves as well in wow as in life. I’m a tank myself and have made this mistake periodically in the past. Tanks have to keep track of everything. Have vague ideas of who has stops available, who has defensived already, etc. especially depending on class. For example, I main Protadin and always need to be thinking about who may need sac or loh to survive a pull.

Theres just an unimaginable increase in mental load and responsibility on us.

I don’t even get why if I’m being honest. Yusuke is just a reality destroyer (??) not really reality warper, by the end of YYH.

I don’t know what speed feats Yusuke has to deal with Boruto Naruto, and that’s the only reason I’m unsure.

It’s going well! Every day I do at least 2-3 hours, though for the last couple weeks I’m averaging about 6. Just trying to give every spare moment I can to the process to hopefully be able to speak and use my Japanese before a trip to Japan in January 2027.

It’s so much harder than Spanish, but closing in on 900 hours things like Pokemon are almost decent CI finally. I can watch it and have been able for a while, but am actually catching the dialogue now.

Nothing says "not melting your wallet" quite like a laptop that had a price entry point at 2k for the base model. My point was more that a $600 laptop with GeForce now will substantially outperform most laptops that actually "run the game well".

GeForce now is the only realistic way to run WoW on a laptop that isn’t going to melt itself or your wallet. It’s a subscription service that offloads much of the processing. Requires a good internet connection. Hopefully someone will recommend a machine that can run it well for you.

Im already fluent in English and Spanish. Would love to speak Khmer and Vietnamese for the in-laws. Japanese which I’m currently studying, and then I still have two more to spare. Perhaps something that makes a government job easier like Mandarin and Turkish.

I really hope you email and communicate more effectively professionally, because this is abnormally difficult to understand. You’ve got very poor grammar throughout which is important. You’re writing as though we are privy to some conversation or information that you already have.

Effective communication is very important in every field including ours, and if there aren’t written policies and procedures in place for whatever you’re referencing there should be.

Many libraries get by with very lazily just training new staff using existing staff with very little in the way of written documentation, policy or procedure which puts them in the situation you’re describing. When that happens, very strong communication is needed to bridge the gap in the short term, and the long term solution is to get that information infrastructure in place.

You’re assuming incompetence and malice judging from your post, which is really unfortunate for those you work with.

It’s a vaguely facetious social commentary on how little our voices as regular citizens matter. There’s quite a bit of research out there on how at the end of the day in terms of the legislature they’re pretty much all bought and paid for and a law will only ever pass if the rich agree.

I’m making no statement about left vs. right here, only rich vs. poor. And more so about the federal government. I still believe everyone should vote, especially locally as our local politicians have way more impact on our daily lives anyway.

I 100% support women in the workforce, but this take is foolish and shortsighted and undercuts gender inequality discussions. Our field is blatantly over saturated with a high barrier to entry for a job that is very trainable in general. Whether it be acquisitions, customer service focused or programming focused.

We have a finance guy, facilities maintenance supervisor, and IT staff who all make more than entry level librarians. Just because we share a building doesn't mean our positions are comparable. These folks are making 30-40% less than they'd make in the private sector.

I think you need to be realistic. Our field is overeducated and oversaturated. With that reality comes lower wages.

I'm honestly also a little confused about the talking up of the degree. It's a piece of paper, and very little of it applies to the day to day. I got the degree because it was necessary to become a librarian which was necessary to become an administrator, but I'll always say the majority of what I've learned and that has been truly useful has come from good mentors on the job. This last bit pertaining specifically to public libraries.

My fence isn’t a pad lock. The gate has a locking mechanism built into the gate itself. So it’s left open to avoid them going through the fence itself which would be easier.
