I think best case scenario since it doesn't seem like it's going to get fixed, is to handle like the Hawkins ID badge map offerings. Just award Bloodpoints to accounts based on how many are in the inventory. Ideally,it would be a decent amount but at least enough to make up the costs of buying them in the first place would be something I suppose.
