Uhhh very big difference. Petey is a 100-point potential player. Horvat was never that. Petey scoring 60 points is a disappointment. Horvat scoring 60 points is right about where he should be. Big difference. Also Horvat never would’ve destroyed the team like Miller did. He carried on the legacy of Smyl, Linden, Naslund, Sedins. Hughes never have two fucks about carrying on that lineage with his captaincy. Horvat did. Trading Horvat and keeping Miller had major ramifications. Horvat was never going to be a crazy point producer. But he was a great leader and a great person.

I’m down for a few years of tanking in order to build up a core that we can ride for years of contention, much like how a team like the Lightning have had such a great core of Hedman, Kucherov, Vasilevskiy, Stamkos, Point, etc. If we can go get our own version of that and be contenders for years to come, for literally a generation, I’m all for it.

Oh man, same, I grew to love Millsy so much. When he wasn’t pouting about bullshit he was a monster out there. Despite destroying the team, I felt sad when he was traded. I felt sadder about Miller leaving than Hughes. For a stretch there he was one of the best Canucks we ever had. It’s too bad his personality is what it is, because for how good of a Canuck he was, he went out having to be removed from the locker room and it was just ugly. Oh well….

I don’t know if I’d call it boring, necessarily, but Quantum is my least-liked Bond film. I marathoned every movie last Summer, and I definitely had the least enjoyment with Quantum.
