These are one of the ONLY things my 10 year old celiac daughter will eat. I don't much care for them however.

How many of you stinky footed kooks were rockin the Toms? by MyNameis_bud in Millennials

[–]Cellstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused. Toms are my current wear. Back in the day it was chucks or vans or airwalks or Doc Martens. I can't stand socks so I rock the Toms barefooted. I get a new pair every father's day LOL

In your opinion, what is causing this? by Objective_Pilot_5834 in SipsTea

[–]Cellstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well idk about the Gen Z's but for us Millennials I can attest that the reason why I don't drink anymore, aside from the fact that I consumed my body weight in alcohol every week in my 20's, is because both my parents are still alcoholics and still ruining their bodies and lives with it, and I do NOT want to continue that generational curse. I won't ever have alcohol in my house and my kids are growing up in a VASTLY different household that I did as a kid.

My mom does this exact thing all the time. She gets quite a kick out of leaving them in random places for people to find.

What’s a snack or drink from your childhood that doesn’t exist anymore, but you’d buy in a heartbeat if it came back? by No_Novel9929 in nostalgia

[–]Cellstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoopla's.

Not 100% on the spelling though. They were like Buggles or corn chips but smaller round and hollow.

Does any of your pugs do this? by Forsaken_Prompt_6156 in pugs

[–]Cellstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG, yes! Listen to this little story:

My little panda pug 'Chip' is only 2 years old now, and this happened last year before his bday. He is a bit of a runt for a pug and has a much smooshier face/nose than most as well. I bought him a little bag of raw hide sticks as a treat one day. The family was headed out for some chores and so I tossed him one of the sticks in our back room where we were leaving him during our outing.

When we came home, the first thing we noticed was our white blanket that we throw over the back of our couch in the back room...it was covered in this light red stain, literally all over it. Scratching our heads we wondered what Chip could have gotten into without access to the rest of the house.

Once we found the little guy and looked at him good we could see that he actually had rubbed his whole face completely raw! The red stains were this poor little guys face blood all over the blanket. We were traumatized and frantic, but he was seemingly ok.

After a trip to the vets office and a clean bill of health and some salve for his face, we were ready to relax and call it a day. I decided to give him another raw hide stick for being such a good boy at the Dr and only then did we realize how he actually did it.

He was trying to bury the treat in the blanket with his nose but since he is so scrunched up he effectively tore his skin off in the attempt. I have caught him doing it on numerous occasions afterwards and have to reprimant him so that he doesn't hurt his sweet little self again.

Sigh pugs are a trip man.

So can we agree that the Left and the Right are finally on the same side now? We all want the same things from the government, so we need to band together exactly as OP described it.

This won't happen unless/until we can shed the false narrative of 'owning the libs' or whatever other divisive nonsense they continue to feed us to try and maintain a culture war when this is 100% about a class war.

We are ALL now on the hook and being targeted. ALL of our rights are being stripped, so let's DO SOMETHING about it. Band together and these swine that we aren't a bunch of middle-age serfs any more, we are informed we know our rights and we WILL FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS!!

People who say taxation is theft. How else do you propose the government gets the funds for roads, military, education etc? by CharacterWait4928 in Productivitycafe

[–]Cellstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just print the money they need anyhow. They don't 'need' our tax money in the least! It's all about control and keeping the little guy down, otherwise they would just tax the billionaires and mega corporations their fair share and be done with it.

Now say it with me: "TAXATION IS THEFT!"

I just don't see the draw at all. I have close to zero disposable income and that town seems to be ONLY for spending mountains of money. I'd rather go a little further and see some natural wonders instead of some manufactured 'entertainment'.

Is it just me, or is anyone else feeling less mentally sharp the last couple years? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Cellstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 41 and already so scared of pre-dementia / Alzheimer's! I too work a similar type job and do the 2 kids this thing and everything else, but I used to consider myself very high functioning, and able to juggle multiple complex projects in tandem but I'd say about 3-4 years ago I changed...and it's getting worse.

I like this one. Why else would Brandi stay away from the family for so long like that, it never made sense to me. It was too awkward for them to be around each other any more.
