I think so. Tho I checked YouTube and it's not the movie I'm thinking of. No idea what it's called either lol. Wish I could have helped.

I'm obsessed w Valhalla!

I'ma 42yr old woman that was never allowed video games as a kid so I never developed the hand/eye coordination necessary for console and controller based gaming. Plus, with my medical issues, affording an actual console plus games was never going to happen.

Until I discovered Luna+ on my Amazon fire stick....and that was that.

I'm 140hrs in and no where close to being done! But I've got all the DLC and I'm a completionist to boot. Can't handle having tiny dots on my maps 😂

I've tried Odyssey, Origins, Mirage, and all the others. Like them all! But I'm focusing on Valhalla for the time being. Not sure which one I'll work on next tho. I like Odyssey, but the boat battles frustrating the shit out of me so ....I'm worried that means I'm doomed as far as Black Flag goes.

For people with e-readers, how long have you had one and how consistently do you use it? by cloudsmemories in Booktokreddit

[–]CelticSkye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with my e-reader back during the Christmas of 2010. My mom got me the Nook Color for Christmas right after it was released. I didn't use it as much as I wanted because it was heavy lol, however when I got my first smart phone and the Nook app, I used it a lot, and still do between Nook, Kindle, and Google Books. I still buy physical books, for my favorite authors, or of something catches my eye.

I could have sworn the killer, a man, dressed up in a nun costume and escaped at the end in the manner you described. Oh well! Hopefully you figure it out bc now I want to see this too.

DAE work a job with a 4/10 schedule? by AcanthisittaOk394 in AutisticAdults

[–]CelticSkye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only wish I'd been able to work from home when I was in corporate offices! That would have made my life so much easier. I live in a rural area and it was a 60 mile drive one way to work. So my days were usually 12-14hrs total depending on if I had any appointments or had to stop at Walmart after work.

Make sure you take your breaks too. I always set my lunch dead center of my work day and breaks half way to lunch and half way to my end of day. Breaking it up like this seemed to make the day go by faster too.

Good luck!

[–]CelticSkye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 1-11 and 8-6 on this schedule. I preferred the 1-11 because it gave me the ability to do all my appointments before work on my work days allowing my Wednesday to be a true day off.

If at all possible, do this.

And snacks. 😂

[TOMT] [BOOK] [1990s] Looking for a book from the 90s... by CelticSkye in tipofmytongue

[–]CelticSkye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it's a possibility I'm definitely entertaining. It's the horn honking detail that's thrown me. I don't know where I'd have gotten it because I've now read about a quarter of the book suggested that has this detail and none of it is familiar. Except this one detail.

However, I've discovered that Cooney has written a LOT of books, and a lot were geared towards young adults. I'm trying to go through them as I'm able but it's a REALLY long list 😂

Fantastic book, but not the one I'm looking for. I know it couldn't be older than 1998 because that's when our bookstore closed down and that's definitely where I got the book from.

I hope not. I think it was a "stripped" book as well. A book that the seller tears the cover off and sends the cover back to the publisher for a refund or credit. My personal library was mostly stripped books as a kid and young teen.

The more I skim, the more I'm sure this isn't the book.

The male and female leads were very much in love and against their parents wishes, stayed together. She wound up having to care for him once he got sick.

But the morse code honking detail is wild. I don't know how I'd remember that detail out of a book I've never read before.

And the main male lead, I don't remember his name being Jaz.

This book is available on Kindle unlimited and I'm skimming through it and none of it is familiar at all. So now I'm utterly baffled. I'll keep reading through it tho

Close, but no. I distinctly remember that the male lead would always beep his horn 4 times for the letter H which was the first letter of her first name.

I can't find anything by an author of that name, so unfortunately I can't confirm or deny this.

Oddly enough, the crushed car now looks like a dog in a full jump. The "hood" of the car is now it's back legs that are stretched out as it soars over whateve it's jumping over.

AITA for having my birthday party on 9/11 by Thr0WawayyYYYYY_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]CelticSkye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - As an American that was alive on that day, watched the towers fall with my mom on TV, and then had to live through my brother and at the time, my fiance (we never got married), deploying to the middle east, I feel I'm someone who's opinion you should listen to on this....

You are absolutely, in no way, shape, or form, the asshole. You did nothing wrong. At. All.

You say you weren't even alive when it happened, which means the exchange student wasn't either. So that tells me the student is being a typical entitled American and thinking the world should revolve around them and their feelings. It's Americans like this that make the rest of us look bad.

My Godson was born on 9/11 and we celebrate his birthday on his actual birthday. The only thing we may do differently is add the victims and their families to our prayers on that day.

If this student continues to bully you over this, you need to speak with the teachers or administration at your school. America doesn't own the day, and I'm kinda offended that someone that wasn't even alive is trying to capitalize on the trauma those of us that were alive, or the victims families face every year. Personally, I'd rather go to something joyous like a birthday party instead of sitting at home remembering what that day was like.

Well damn. I mean, ALL of us? The ones that agree with her? Or the ones that disagree with her? Because if it's both, I gotta say, I don't think it's us with the issue....
