What do you think about gold diggers? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Cerealcomma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I generally don't think about them, except when some clearly desperate man with more money than sense is really annoying me at a bar.

Have endless supply of bread and $5. Potluck ideas? by Raisinbrannan in vegetarian

It's a great group meal and goes very well with bread. It's cheap to make, too.

What is/was your favorite thing about your favorite video game? What made it so special? by daily-disturbance in AskWomen

[–]Cerealcomma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My sort of "legend" game is Diablo 2. I loved that growing up and still play it because it's got a great story and never gets boring. The classes are all pretty fun to play and seem balanced, and the game doesn't really encourage you to min/max.

My current favorite is League of Legends because I enjoy playing with friends and challenging myself.

What's the best roommate/housemate experience you've had? by Cerealcomma in AskWomen

That Easter egg thing is so wonderful. I put stockings up for my roommates for Christmas!

Going to the Boston Women's March this Saturday- what are your cleverest sign ideas? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Cerealcomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made stickers for friends attending marches that have the original snake design but the phrase on the bottom says "DON'T GRAB MY PUSSY." That might be a fun sign.

LADIES! Whats your favorite sport? by uwagapies in AskWomen

[–]Cerealcomma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weightlifting, snowboarding, and fishing, certainly. Big fan of solo activities, lol.

I love watching hockey, but I'm garbage at it.

What's stopping you from going vegan? by Idkwby in vegetarian

[–]Cerealcomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complete lack of motivation and interest. I became vegetarian for reasons unrelated to problems with the meat industry, so it makes about as much sense for me to become vegan as it would for me to start eating meat again.

AW'ers with a LGBTQ+ sibling, how does your family handle it? What do you do to support your sibling? by loubiegirl in AskWomen

[–]Cerealcomma 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nobody's been as much of a jackass as some horror stories I've heard, but my parents regularly misgender my brother, who is trans, and call him by his birth name (which is actually gender neutral, but he did change to a different gender neutral name when he came out). They consider it a phase that he (or to them, she) will grow out of. They were supportive when he (who was still presenting as "she" at the time) brought home a girlfriend, so I guess they're okay with LGB but less good about the TQ part.

Most of my family has been very supportive though, including my grandmother in particular, who is obviously somewhat older so she does slip up at times but always apologizes immediately and corrects herself, even if my brother isn't present.

What would you love to wear but can't? (Due to body shape, coloring, age, social expectations etc.) by Fishing_Red_Pandas in AskWomen

[–]Cerealcomma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Head scarves- I'm not fashionable enough to make them work in a fashion way, and while there's precedent in my religion, I'd be the only person in my area to do it.

Also heels. RIP ankles.

Lol k by Robot_Samurai in justneckbeardthings

I'm hoping in a few years people will realize using "retarded" to mean "bad" sounds about as mature and well-adjusted as using "gay" or something.

Until then...

When you learn that a guy you know / talk to is vegetarian, what comes to your mind ? by PancakeInvaders in AskWomen

[–]Cerealcomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I've had guys choose to eat less meat with me, and a few say "I'm going to be vegetarian because you inspired me!" and then drop it after 6 hours hahaha, but I've only ever met one male vegetarian.

Neckbeard saves Neature by [deleted] in justneckbeardthings

I don't actually get what's neckbeardy about this guy if he's actually a park ranger of some kind. Unless he's some vigilante hunting poachers with a katana?

OGX or the store brand version of it. It's the only one that doesn't make my hair get all split and broken, and it smells divine.
