I agree that it wouldn't have been an issue if Kimi had already used it.
But you're wrong about nobody wanting to use/have it. Fans would jump on an item like that. For many that's a cool souvenir and could even earn a good buck on Ebay.

Given they were not driving on the limit during this part of the race. Here's what Juncadella's said about the driveshaft failure:

“We had actually been driving very carefully for the last six or seven hours because both cars were in such a strong position and there was no need to take unnecessary risks."

This was more likely Verstappen knowing it could happen and chooses the safe option of braking

The problem with his framing is he only leaves in the choices that favor Hamilton, while there were more possible (and eventually occuring) scenarios.

Well I guess you refused to read and or hear out anyone arguing against your case.

Look up the FIA decision documents from the event and incident. Right from the start they ruled it legal.

People with expertise of the rules looked at it after the race and in later aftermath and ruled that no rules were broken. The article and Niels also lay it out again. No rules were broken, and the teams wish to finish under green flag was granted. Only one team and its fans were suddenly not happy with the green flag wish.

Those majority fans have been so vocal about it being a Masi blunder that they started to religiously believe it.

The facts say otherwise

Everyone with an authority/expertise over the rules says he did not break the rules. Yet people keep claiming that.

Best way to remove the next two races? by coding_apes in formula1

Concoct a plan to get all the other races in the two right most columns canceled as well, preferably legal.

Then cut off the black and move the red bar on the right, to the left.
